District Assignments - 2018

The Liberty Schools moving up makes it look easier. Not sure if this benefits teams like Raytown, Park Hill South and Belton more than Staley. Although LN lost to Raytown in 17, which is really amazing.
LN will be a completely different looking program with a year of Jones, Luellan, Moore and the rest of the staff changing the culture around there. They will look like the same kids getting off the bus but you will see a night and day difference once the clock starts ticking.

How can blair oaks have 429 and in class 2 when the cut off is 377 according to MSHSAA website. Doesn't make sense.

Keep in mind MSHSAA is using 9-11 enrollment numbers that were turned in in March.
It will differ from the DESE numbers which includes the senior class.

This story was just tweeted out and had an explanation of sorts.
http://www.monett-times.com/story/2545114.html
"Monett’s certified enrollment, which was turned into MSHSAA in March, was barely north of 556.
According to MSHSAA Communications Director Jason West, Sullivan is the smallest Class 4 team, and the Cubs are the sixth-smallest in the new Class.
MSHSAA will not release the certified enrollment numbers until some time after it announces the new classifications and districts for basketball in November, according to West."

Another victim of using Class 5 as the catch all. Class 4 is ridiculous.

Blair Oaks is right on the line between Class 2 and 3. DESE is reporting 429 residents for the high school and on the other side Centralia which is Class 3 is at 436 residents.
They only take 3 classes for enrollment now, and the actual high school enrollment for Blair Oaks is 457, biggest it's ever been. They have an enrollment of 337 for the three classes MSHSAA does enrollment for, so they're the biggest Class 2 school. There were just several schools that jumped them. Blair Oaks will eventually stay Class 3, as their enrollment gradually continues to grow. In 5 to 7 years they should have at least 500 kids in the high school. For right now it just depends on what other schools enrollments are doing.

Does anyone know the exact web page where MSHSAA got the data for school enrollments? I'm sure it's on dese, but what is the exact page.

JOKE. The whole thing is a complete JOKE. The geography of some of these districts is absurd. They take extra time to put this garbage together and this is the best they can do?? SMH.....................................

Find it funny probably two heavy favorites in class 3 are 12 miles apart but are in districts 2 and 5. completely different quadrants. (Trinity and Cardinal Ritter) Somebody not wanting one of them eliminated in districts?

They did not get their numbers from DESE. This year numbers were reported by the schools directly to MSHSAA in March. It was for Grades 9-11 only

The Golden Eagles came out to their theme song, "Straight Outta Ruskin." The backfield flashed gang sings and it was all over.
You mean they dropped their pants while singing the Sam Cooke classic, "Working on the Chain Gang"?

Is 429 their total enrollment? Because classes this year (and going forward, I assume) are based on the previous year's grades 9-11.

Trinity, Lutheran North and Ritter were all in the same Class 2 District for the last 4 years. There are 16 Class 3 schools in the STL Metro area, so that’s how the groupings fell this season. I doubt there’s suddenly a MSHSAA conspiracy to keep Trinity and Ritter separate. I’m sure public school homers won’t be convinced when the post-season comes along.

The total enrollment is 457, the enrollment for MSHSAA is 337 based on the 3 grades they count.

I wish I was as smart as some of you guys and put up the quote from Caddyshack from Ted Knight "Well we're waiting'"
It's on the presentation they gave to the district residents regarding the growth of the district and the new high school they will be building in a few years. The presentation has all the enrollment numbers dating all the way back to 1990. I'm may not be smart but I do know how to at least research dumbass!

So this is only for your school and not all. By the way, i have them back to 1980 if you want them.

All of us are looking for everything, not just one school. I apologize for my mistake.

Easier road to a district title this year. Jackson is the only team from the othet four I'd sweat. So glad Vianney isn't in the way this year.

Same thing happened a few years back in Class 4 girls basketball. In 2014-15, MICDS and Incarnate Word played in the finals. The two years prior they played in the sectional round.............. MSHSAA has zero integrity.

Yeah, after looking at the class 3 map that Mshsaa provides, you look like a complete fool. There is not 1 district 3 school south of a district 2 school. In fact there are a few district 2 and 3 schools in between Trinity and Cardinal Ritter. Way to make shit up

You sound like the local drunk that everyone avoids.

Glad your impressed. You haven’t said shit that has impressed me.

I think it’s sad you think I care if I impress you. I think you are a moron. But it doesn’t matter what I think. Do you think your opinion is that valid?
What makes it anymore valid than yours? I think you’re a moron as well which also doesn’t matter. Keep thinking you’re somebody though. It’s cute

Look at original posting of district assignments on first page of this thread. it had Trinity in District 5. I see on MSHSAA website the correct district is posted and makes total sense.

Thankyou for your service to this country as a veteran.
