Wow. District 5 and district 6 class four tough districts. Especially 6

Class 2 is even tougher. Trinity leaving hardly effected it. With the addition of Blair Oaks, and Monroe City.

Blair Oaks is right on the darn edge of Class 2 / 3 on size. Going back down from Class 3 to 2 will be a bit harder for me to swallow. Most of the competition that they schedule every year is Class 3 and in the past they would even schedule above that or at least tough out of conference. I just don't like it.

Wow, there's some potential bus travel time in District 7.

Blair Oaks can still have a tough time. And play class 2 and have a good run.

Did someone say cutoffs?

Blair Oaks is right on the line between Class 2 and 3. DESE is reporting 429 residents for the high school and on the other side Centralia which is Class 3 is at 436 residents.

C5 is a joke. Staley would have a much harder time winning C4 than C5
I will, now that these are finally out, post predictions and teams to watch. #1 on the whole list is Fort Osage so I sure wouldn't say Staley will have an easy road back to the title game at all...............

Staley's path is like the old path of the Buffalo Bills when they made their runs to the Super Bowl...easy division.
District 8 yes. It will get much tougher, barring a rash of Fort injuries, from there.

With LN and LIberty out of the mix...KC Class 6 is up to 11 teams and Class 5 is diminishing in the KC area. I'm not saying they are power houses or anything...but what do we have left in Class 5? Park Hill moved out. LSW moved out. Now LN and Lib out.

Fort and Staley. NO middle class in KC metro C5 that is for sure.

The Liberty Schools moving up makes it look easier. Not sure if this benefits teams like Raytown, Park Hill South and Belton more than Staley. Although LN lost to Raytown in 17, which is really amazing.

Anyone have the cutoff numbers they used for each class?
They are posted on the front page of the MSHSAA website.

11-man Football 1-188 (64) 189-337 (64) 338-555 (64) 556-990 (64) 991-1292 (42) 1293-2017 (32)

North doesn't return much. Hoping the best for Jones and co. but this will be a pretty daunting challenge for them. Raytown last year had some outstanding offensive talent but, kinda like Lafayette in C4, you never knew week to week which team was going to show up (the Blue Jays inexplicably lost to Ruskin............I am still not over that one).

Yes, I forgot that one. That takes the cake. Really bizarre.

Yea Bruce Smith, Jim Kelly, Thurman....they all sucked. It was all their easy schedule that won them playoff games.

The Bills literally knocked out Joe. They were good. Dick Enberg is still in my head. RIP.

How can blair oaks have 429 and in class 2 when the cut off is 377 according to MSHSAA website. Doesn't make sense.

Except they went from having 5 guys that could clean 250 pounds to over 45 guys this Spring that could. They are going to bench press and Olympic lift their way into a good record.

JOKE. The whole thing is a complete JOKE. The geography of some of these districts is absurd. They take extra time to put this garbage together and this is the best they can do?? SMH.....................................
