Did You See This... C2 Father Tolton Regional Catholic at C3 Missouri Military Academy

Greenfield scored 92 this past week. The past couple of years they've given up 60+, 70+ several times. If I were their coach or a fan, I couldn't have told those Wildcats to back down too much. Just being honest.
8 man is whole different ball game at Greenfield

It's really easy not to score if you don't want to. You put in your deepest subs and run your most basic plays.

If this still doesn't work you teach a kid to get 5 and find a defender.

I don't remember the clock stopping last week at Joplin . The Eagles went up 35 -0 it started then Lebanon scored and I don't remember the turbo stopping. I do believe that is correct though once it breaks the 35 threshold that the clock stops.
Back in high school we were at an away game We beat a team 83-0 and another 65-0 We only brought 40 players on the bus and in the first game the varsity didn't see the field after The first quarter in that second game not one varsity player touch the field after halftime! Sometimes you just can't stop moving the football I would be shocked also if any high school kid would want The coach calling the game for them. I think the running clock is the best solution.

First part I'm fine with...second part I struggle with. There comes a point when folks get a bit too concerned with the other person. Asking an offensive player to find a defender seems like that time to me.

I agree. I think if the game starts to really get out of hand you empty the benches and you play the last string. You don't tell the back ups of the back ups not to try. If it is the first half you just keep it on the ground. If it is the second half and the clock is running anyway work on your 5-7 yd sideline passes. At the end of the day it comes down to intent. If a coach/team isn't trying to run it up on another team then I don't blame them.

There are so many examples of class programs and coaches that realize
humiliating high school kids is not what high school sports is about. Great examples C,B,C they could of scored a 100 points 3 times this year but their coach being the person he is kept his offense basic with the big leads let all the kids play that come and work hard everyday. Webb City lets face it their second string could win 8 games but isn't it amazing how they win every game but they
don't embarrass other teams. What's to be gained teaching your kids humiliating another team. Some of you say a team would rather get beat 75 to
nothing as have the other team let up, you haven't coached high school kids
they don't want to be made to feel worthless and if you don't thank that is how they feel you have never been beaten into the ground by 75 points and then try to explain to them how that is okay. Not to mention the safety issue in football, I bet you add up the injuries teams sustain playing the Lamar's of the world they don't only beat you on the score board but they are so superior they physical beat you up where you can barely suit up for the next game. 90 percent of high school coaches know high school football is a learning experience for both sides and treat it as such. It is nothing more coaches are educators of young
minds to be better people. Last game over collect the gear and move on, and you must ask yourself are the kids better people for have played football in my
program or was winning all that mattered which has zero carry over value in life.

Parkwood was a different animal back then...and I don't think we had the turbo clock but those games were ugly for sure.
