The Cards brass keeps telling us they need to improve their defense and says it's wanting to get a better CF which I doubt they do. Did anybody but me notice how bad their infield defense was last year yet they seem content to stick with it.
Carp is not a very good first baseman
Wong is a pouty and cocky 2nd baseman who can't make the easy play because he is too worried about making it look like a tough play. Did I mention he can't hit
Diaz is a stud hitter but shuts down every year because of a sore arm and was not that good of a fielder last year.
Peralta not sure he is the answer at 3rd
Gyrko should be used as a super sub or 2nd baseman.
MO has more than a CF to get if he plans on making this team better. I think it begins at SS and wouldn't hurt to get a 1st baseman that can catch balls at a much higher rate than Carp. Last year pitchers were afraid to throw over to 1st for fear of the ball ending up in right field, which it did a lot.
