Hey Harrisonville, who's bright idea was it to dance on the Cardinal before the game and again at halftime when down 24-7? Never has a team won a game after disrespecting the Cardinal at midfield. Just saying bad idea, ask Bolivar!!!

In all fairness. I don't think we danced on it. If I remember correctly we planted the flag on it.

That's right THE GREAT FLAG PLANTING of "08" Let me ask you this "How did that work out for you? I mean on the score board? I think it was 41-21

Good ole Derek Lee. He became good friends with quite a few of the boys after he came to Southern. Seth Jusr showed me a pic of a big ole whitetail Derek killed Saturday. Good kid, bad idea, lol

We danced on it and won . Then danced again on it. Then danced all the way up the hill to the locker room . Lol well we actually didn't but just because we knew we were gonna win.
Guys why are you always looking for an insult? Are you that bored of winning ?

2008 you lost
2009 you won, and Pa and I went to the dome and cheered your team on! Meet your QB and his family (nice Folks).
2014 you lost and I didn't hear you cheering for the Cards?
2015 I'll see you at the Dome!
P.S. I also don't remember your team dancing on the Cardinal. Can't say it didn't happen I just didn't see it.

The dude you're responding to is an old Joplin Parkwood guy.

Now that was one fun game to watch...

Ahhhh wait, wasn't LSW was the last stepping stone on their was to the Dome in 2006? Yeah they where and Hannibal was the victim in the dome.

Some high school PA announcers kill me: Savannah in 2011 was another. Kept overemphasizing the ZEEEEERO the first half of what became a shocking last second semifinal loss.

Question....I've have always heard Webb spray painted a WC over the Carthage "C" at The Rock several years ago (where they play baseball). I couldn't imagine them doing that but heard it from several.

Scout4u how can you say that when the only way Lee Summit West could make it to a state game was by moving up to class 5 so they didn't have to play Webb in class 4.

Thats not at bad as the visiting team actually spreading their dirt on the home teams turf, IMO.

are we talking about some high school kids standing on some paint? And you guys said satire post asking if Webb could beat Pitt State was the dumbest thing on the board this year.

Finally, Someone who saw the same thing I did. Thanks 19Webbcity99, I thought that I must have missed something when I went to the bathroom. Webb city played a great game Friday night.

The only dancing they did that bothered me was that around our kick coverage teams

Seriously there is absolutely nothing wrong with gathering at the center of a field at the end of warm ups so long as it isn't crowding the other team, which it wasn't. Now if the gathering turns into a display of taunting then that would be a different story. Personally I prefer my teams to do their gathering in the end zone

As far as motivation, I think that was provided by how they played against CJ two weeks prior.

It really did not bother me much but do not for a second try to tell me it was not deliberate grandstanding.

I guess the question that should be asked is this something that Harrisonville does at all games home and away... or was it a one off that they only did at Webb to insult the Cardinals and many Cardinal fans suggest. I was at the game and as a neutral observer I did not notice it, as I have seen it 100 times from other teams all over in my 35+ years of watching high school football. But you are right some meet in the end zone some meet in the middle.

You better have your sh#$ together is you're going to dance on someone's mascot or plant a flag on their field. It's total disrespect and cause for a butt whippen'.

This is something they do every game, home or away. They did not dance they have their team huddle break and go to the sideline. They planted no flags, they did not do anything disrespectful. Sorry if that hurts some ones feelings it is just what they and several other teams do. I do not believe that it was intended to evoke any emotions from anyone. But as is usual peoples feeling get hurt.

Well yes if you are a power house, but back when I was in school you could have done a lot worse to the Cardinal and all Webb could have done is rolled over and took it. And not just Webb there are a lot of other schools today that cannot do much. I just think people are putting to much into this and how much it affected the outcome of the game.

This is something that they have done for years and is just part of their routine. Doubt there is anything ever disrespectful about it.i alao agree with what someone said earlier about CJ providing the motivation from that point on. When I told my son Webb almost lost to CJ a couple weeks ago, his response was "they won't have a close game the rest of the way."
