Honest truth. I think Harrisonville was a stronger team than CJ. With the exception of kick offs WC was hitting on all cylinders tonight. Defense has been great all year but tonight might have been the best.
I think on a night like tonight Webb is up 28 on CJ when it's all

I think CJ had a good game plan and executed it perfectly. I do not think they would be able to do that again and do not think comparing scores matters. Apples to oranges. Would've, could've, should've--didnt. Lamar is a great team but its a useless debate.
Im just playing Devils advocate here because im curious. I think and thought cj was really good. ..that being said i picked webb by 2 td. Webb played pretty poorly offensively. I think under different weather conditions webb wins by at least that but it certainly makes you wonder
Cj seemed pretty flat after those first 2 drives against lamar. where as in the webb game they were playing like their lives depended on it
Agree the defensive effort tonight was incredible. It was just amazing to watch all game long. How many times did they have to alter the play in the backfield because the running back was already tackled?
I think the bigger point of that game is how terrible WC played and they still won. A lot of teams would have been beat down at some point. I think the mental toughness won that game. If Webb can play that bad and beat a team like CJ, they are even better than we give them credit.
Hard to compare teams when it's a rainy night, CJ didn't force 8 fumbles, the weather was more of a factor. I think 1 and 2 are still in the hunt on opposite sides of the bracket.
Another thing to consider is webb city beat Rockhurst and Mcdonald County by the same margin. Does that make those teams even? Call me crazy but id take Rockhurst in that matchup
Lives depended on it? WTH are you talking about? CJ had like 5 first downs the entire game after their only score on their first posession which was kept alive twice on miracle plays. And yes WEBB won because of a miracle play against CJ, reardless the game I saw shoulda been WEBB in a beatdown. 300 rushing yards people with 8 fumbles, possesion time of 34 of 48 minutes........
I still think the toughest opponent I saw WEBB play was Republic. 22-18 after 3. CJ had Chuck Norris and Mother Nature and we had in JROD we trust.....(is that wrong) LOL.
Glad we are done with them. They were soohomore dominated. They will be stupid good in a few years. Might take state this year if they can knock off Bentonville or Fayetteville again
I have no problem with people crediting the weather with allowing CJ to nearly upset Webb. Totally agree that it's a different game in better conditions.
BUT for everyone who wants to keep blaming the wet conditions for all those fumbles, those same poor conditions kept the Bulldogs from passing. In CJ's best games, they passed around 30 times. Until the final 50 seconds against Webb, CJ's QB had attempted no more than 6 passes on the night.
And if you want to say CJ wouldn't have been able to pass successfully against Webb (your prediction, but no proof, we'll never know), then I will counter that had Webb not muffed their center QB snaps all night, they'd have fumbled the ball away against CJ more often rather than being able to cover it so easily in the backfield 8 times (just my prediction, but we'll never know).
As for who is #2 if Webb wins out, I'll rely on the opinions of any Webb posters (who aren't biased against CJ) because you are the guys (and gals) who are seeing all of these fine teams that the machine is mowing down week after week.
PS - if you win your sixth straight, please petition MSHSAA to give you an exemption to move up to Class 5 next year. Ain't nobody around touching you, as usual.

This coaching combination is critical to the current success. Just how long do people expect them to last, to feel challenged? Webb is class 4 and I highly doubt this combination sees the day it goes to 5. Like I have said before, enjoy it while it last. Your watching one of the best, if not the best winning percentage in high school football history from this coaching team. Great time to actually seal the record books and say job well done. Hope i dont see it for ten more years, but its very close IMO. Been a heck of a ride. CJ was a great team and IMO, because of others moving to class 5, people are finally seeing that Webb really did have some its best competition in SW missouri. How many times did we hear "we hadn't played anyone yet". Well now they know. Carthage, Nixa, Ozark and Yes CJ. And then theres that little town 30 minutes to the North. Who knows how many titles Lamar will take. Dont be fooled by school size when the formula finds its magic. Next year will be a very difficult year for Webb, IMO. The last thing Webbs going to do is get big headed enouph to petition MSHSAA to move up.

We will never know anything other than what happened which was GOD awful for both. I totally agree if the weather would have been better WEBB wouldnt have fumbled the snaps like they did and CJ would have thrown a lot more meaning we could have had a lot of interceptions, interceptions are cool, keep your shirt on Im just kidding..Biased against CJ? Heck only bias I got against CJ is their clock tower. For whatever reason since you guys had one we had to have one, still dont get it. If Im biased against any local teams its cARTHAGE because they actually beat us in 07, and thats all in good fun anymore. I hope as much as WEBB winning it all that cTOWN does in class 5. And no, no petitioning to move up. All good things must come to an end and eventually will, well except for WEBBs streak over CJ in Football.....sorry had to..
