Crocodile tears in KC

Yep, the really good teams don't have to worry about that one play or one call being the deciding factor.

I think that sounds good and should be the case, but isn't always actually true in the NFL. There are far too many games decided by 1 score that could easily go a different way based on a call or non-call for that to be logical. I don't disagree with the premise, though.

Buffalo did exactly what they have done over and over this year. They did everything they could do to let the Chiefs win the game. But the Chiefs didn’t take advantage of their opportunities. Neither team is as good as they have been.

Nice to see Mahomes is human and has emotions. Think it was the breaking point.

Had Toney given up on that play? Why was he so open for Kelce? Just imagine if he'd dropped it.

I’d like to know what was up on the chiefs final play when they went for it on 4th down. Kelce was just jogging downfield and not looking back for the ball at all. I assume the ball was intended for someone else.

I think that incompletion is really what set Mahomes off.

Probably because the defenders had noticed Kelce running with the football and ran towards Kelce to attempt a tackle. Do you even football!?
I didn't say anything about the defenders. Toney was just standing there in the open field since the ball didn't go his way. No attempt to go block. Send him to Pittsburgh. Maybe he could help their offensive juggernaut.

Did you hear them say on the game yesterday that this is the fifth time Buffalo has had to play at KC in the last 1,000 days? Glad someone besides me finally realizes the absurdity of this fact.

It was a scripted play.

Chiefs look very undisciplined and sloppy this year, Bieniemy provided that.

I would be remiss if I didn't point out the dangling modifier here.

But, he did line up wrong.

Yes, he did. And should have been flagged for it. And if they flagged it every single time it happened, it would be consistent and no one would have a gripe. But I would bet it's flagged at less than a 10% rate, because I see players constantly over their end of the football and in the neutral zone not to mention often just past the neutral zone. I just want consistent enforcement. I don't want the officials to hold their flags, I want them to throw more until people stop lining up offsides.

I agree with you 100%. My point is only that these guys are “pro” athletes and get paid to line up correct whether someone sees it or not. And a great player/team will do it. So no argument on consistency from refs on all calls. I have seen junior high players that get paid nothing show more effort to line up correctly than the so-called pros do.

I don't know how people feel about this, but we have the tech available (at least in the NFL) to make it not even a question of an official's judgment.

With all the technology and lasers and sensors in the world today, the NFL is still using a chain to measure a first down. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🤯

His passing mechanics have been poor all season.
Can't be MVP every season. Go way back to Week 1 I said this may be KC's "give back" year. Funny part, though, is they could pick up the stick with this schedule and who knows how many more upsets to come and recover. Key won't be Mahomes and Maauto, either, but the D.
