Just curious on how the virus is spreading in your area? As of yesterday in the SEMO area, I have only heard of a few cases so the virus is just now reaching rural MO - 2 in Perry County, 2 in Park Hills area, 1 in Scott County. Covid19 is just getting started here, and if it follows a predictable pattern as Dr. Fauci says, we are still 3-4 weeks from the surge.

Probably less testing in some areas, but also less spread to date.

I'd be more concerned in those places if STL or Memphis looked bad.

A death in Butler County is being checked out to see if it was a result of Covid 19. Cororner can't say much now, don't know when we will know.

I really wish when they announce how many died they mentioned if they were elderly or had an underlying issue.
Yeah. If an 80 yr old dies in a nursing home the simple question is....would anyone have been surprised to hear they died if Covid 19 wasn't a factor.

The case in Butler County turned not to be related to 19. Just heard somebody in neighboring Carter Co. has been hospsitalized with it. I'll have to assume they would be here the P.B. hospital. Here we go, just like the local docs have been saying. :(

I've been told Cox South in Springfield has one whole floor dedicated to C-19 with zero patients. Maybe they are all at no Mercy.
The Greene County page says 8 have been hospitalized with 5 no longer sick and not in isolation.

Hope it stays that way but I wouldn't count on it.

Just found out the person from Carter County is in the hospital in Mountain View but works at Menards in P.B. :(

I think we know enough to know this is fairly common...NY is releasing (or did release) a summary of deaths by age. It continues to skew heavily towards the old. Considering the % of the population at ages 80 and up, the death rate remains shockingly high for the elderly.

We have one listed in Barry County, just a matter of time before it hits closer to home. Don't kid yourself it is coming. Our hospital has already built a tent to treat patients who are suspected of having it.

Springfield is converting a whole floor to take care of what they expect to come in, but so far I think both Mercy and Cox are doing okay.

I also hear that they are seeing an increase of butt heart people coming in due to the lack of TP....sorry, just trying not to go insane...so adding some humor.

Missouri as of Sunday had 903 cases and 12 deaths. Four of the deaths are from one nursing home in Springfield. One of the four they cannot confirm but since they was in close contact they are connecting it to the virus.

Two people in the P.B. hospital, they do not live in Butler County, so still no cases to count her but you bet it's coming soon.

Did you folks in other parts of the state see what was going on at Elephant Rocks State Park in Iron Co. over the weekend. The place was packed full of cars and people. I know some folks that were out driving around to to get out of the house, when they drove by they couldn't believe what they were seeing. The parking lot had cars side by side throughout with license plates for as far away as Alabama. The Cape news showed video of people all over the park.
