I know this isn't this board's forte, but anyone have some solid ideas...

I'll concede that a wall doesn't fix all the problems or stop close to everyone, but it would seemingly make it more difficult to break the law in order to enter our country (as is the law).

Does our think tank have any other ideas that are constructive? Other than bashing the wall or thinking the wall is the best strategy?

Cobra, Apache, or Longbow attack helicopters patrolling the border would be a good deterrent. Would give young pilots valuable flight time

I agree. You have asked an excellent question.
I responded to a similar question on another post. With all the money Trump wants to spend (upgrade the military, infrastructure, the wall), and then cuts taxes - something has to give. I feel the Trump administration knows how to handle this problem as much as I do — very little.

I dont have the answers because I dont know the capabilities of current technology.
I do know that ladders and tunnels make the wall a waste of billions of dollars.

Additionally, people fly or boat into this country every day. Some on vacation. Some on work or student visas. Then they dont leave. The southern border isnt the only problem. You telling me we have all of our coasts locked down?

Can we help Mexico clean up their country so people will want to stay there? If American companies paid better down there?? If we help them wipe out their drug gangs?

You could have just said no.

Name a country with a true border wall that hasn't worked very well.

No one said it was the ONLY problem but it IS the biggest problem.

Yeah, lets move more jobs to Mexico! That is a great idea.

We have so many ports in thousands of miles of coast line and probably more air traffic than any country in the world and you clowns think a wall is going to even make a dent in the problem. Humorous.

Mr. Miller ... One word ... GoFundMe

Didn't find that word in the dictionary. Got a definition?
If you want the wall so badly, go help pay for it.

Are you asking a question you already know the answer to? I see ... ok for you to do that, but you try to bite my head off through your phone when I do it. What say you, Mr. Miller?

What statement did I make?
What question did I ask?
What answer have you given?

According to General Patton if man can conquer mountains and oceans the thought that a wall can be successful is really stupid.
Patton had tanks and howitzers to blow holes in walls,

Trumps wall is 30 feet tall and sunk into the ground 15’

You would rather just let criminals and drugs flow into our country

Trump has compared his grand plan of a U.S.-Mexico border wall to the Great Wall of China. Construction on the 13,000-mile wall began in the 3rd century B.C.and continued into the 14th through 17th centuries under the Ming dynasty. Originally built to prevent attacks on China from the north and meant to keep out Manchu invaders, the wall ultimately failed to do so. Manchurians broke through the wall, prompting the fall of the Ming dynasty and heralding the start of the Qing dynasty. Today, the wall is a UNESCO World Heritage site and receives millions of visitors every year

Still haven’t heard a good solution...givin Mexico money doesn’t work...fund a corrupt government even more?

I think the wall is a decent start. And it will pay for itself. Are their holes? Yes. Will it be perfect? No. Will it be better? Of course.

Be honest, what percent of your resistance is just partisanship and knowing if Trump gets the wall built it will be a perceived victory of the Republicans.

One last time ... I don’t know! Tell me.
Wait a minute, you know it will work don't you? You don't want a border do you? That can be the only reason to call it tremendously ridiculous since you have no example to indicate it won't work and the cost is nothing compared to the cost of not building a border wall.

You’re right. The cost of it should be nothing ... for us. The campaign promise - remember it. Or have you conveniently forget that promise just like the POTUS? Don’t forget the slogan, “Promises made, promises kept.” Not my words. But I do expect it after hearing it X number of times.

Since me calling it the tremendously ridiculous wall hurts your eyes to read it, should I call it the tremendously ridiculous concrete slabs?

I'm more concerned with why you think a wall that always works, is VERY cost effective, and is miniscule in cost, is "tremendously ridiculous". I don't care if you call it a wall, border, slab, or fence. I do care why, if you care about illegal immigration and its costs, why you think it is ridiculous in any way.

I never once said I thought it always works (your words/thoughts), is very cost effective (your words/thoughts), or is minuscule in cost (your words/thoughts). Please don’t put words into my mouth/thumbs.
I already told you why I oppose it. I, along with you, during the campaign and at midterm rallies, were told time and time again that someone else was footing the bill. I’m just voicing a concern that the POTUS may be going back on his word ... or ... dare I say it? Lied to us.

You always say I don’t answer your questions. Just because I don’t give the answer you want doesn’t mean I haven’t answered.

You don't understand the English language very well if you think I said you said or thought ANY of that.
I did say those were reality since you've never refuted ANY of it with anything other than your opinion.

The only reason you oppose a border wall is because Trump told you Mexico would pay for it.
Is that correct?

I don’t think I’ve ever refuted Santa on this board. Does that make him a reality because I haven’t refuted him? I didn’t realize I had that kind of power. Now you tell me.
