I know they had semifinal runs in Class 2 in 04-05-06 it wasn't all of those years but 2 of those years, but I wanna say that even in those years, they lost to Grove.
The panthers have been struggling without their all-everything QB
Closest Houston has come to beating Grove since maxpreps started keeping track was:
2015: 34-7 loss
And
2005: 36-0 loss
To be fair, in 2005 it was the second year in a row the tigers made it to the semis only to lose to Cameron again.
And in 05 I'm pretty sure that was either the first or second year that Ary took Grove to the 3A semis.
In 04 houston finished 10-3 losing to Cameron in the semis
In 05 houston finished 9-4 losing to Cameron in the semis
The year after was when their coach left and went to coach at Parkview and helped begin to right the ship there before leaving for republic.
All this talk reminds me of when Cabool beat Grove in the playoffs in 07 on a last second FG after losing to them in the regular season.
