Congrats Smith Cotton & Brennan Scanlon on WCC Title

The Smith Cotton boys basketball team clinched at least a share of the conference title with a 75-60 win tonight at Kansas City O Hara. This is the first boys basketball conference title claimed by Smith Cotton in 19 years. Congrats to the players and coach Brennan Scanlon on a great accomplishment in his first year as head coach. Smith Cotton will return four starters and many reserves next season.

Mark is his uncle. Jim, head coach at Rock Bridge, is his dad. Blair, the head coach at California, is his little brother. Would hate to have to try to match bball wits at their family gatherings!

That makes five years in a row that Coach Scanlon's teams have won either a conference or district championship. Congratulations to Coach Scanlon and the Smith Cotton players and coaches.
