Willard- Branson is coming off an embarrassing loss to Republic. Probably doesn't help you have to go visit Chambers and Batson. Willard 35-21

Carthage- If Carthage can control the LOS, this game should be owned by Carthage. Republic might want to guard Arkell Smith. He's pretty good... Carthage 42-14

Carl Junction- If CJ plays like CJ. CJ wins. The purple dragons will stick around the first half before turning into the "Ray Weston Show" in the second half. CJ 35-14

Webb City- 7-0 vs 1-6. COC title in reach for the cardinals. Enough said! Webb turbo 49-7

I think Ozark has what it takes to win a close game. The wild card is how will Nixa respond to the humiliating homecoming loss to Carthage, who had just been humiliated by CJ?

I keep thinking Willard should be better than they are. Makes me want to pick them over Branson because the pirates haven't won a ton of games over the last several years. But I will go out on a limb and pick Branson.

Carthage is capable of putting this game away early but that doesn't mean they will. Inconsistency has been a problem for the Tigers this season. So has turnovers. Assuming they find a groove and play to their potential, Carthage should win by at least a couple scores.

CJ - Pittsburg is good but I don't see them overcoming CJ's defense or containing their offence. The game might give the false appearance of a close one for the first quarter or so, but I think it will get out of reach quickly.

WC - It's a good thing Neosho got a win last week because they have no chance against Webb City. Carthage is waiting after that which won't be much easier.
