There is potentially 5 close games this week...I don't think there will be, but it is possible.

Nixa at Webb -- Nixa 31-28
Lebanon at Joplin -- Joplin 20-17, OT
Glendale at Willard -- Willard 14-13 (they both scored 13 last week, one them has to make the second PAT this week)
Waynesville at Republic -- Repmo 42-7
Ozark at Carthage -- Carthage 42-14
Kickapoo at Neosho -- Neosho 28-10

Nixa- hope WC proves me wrong

Joplin- will win what was at one time a tough Ozark Conference matchup

Willard- hope the old COC can keep grabbing the Ws against the newcomers

Republic- will win this battle of authentic orange and black tigers

Carthage- blue tigers will beat the red tigers

Neosho- let's keep the old COC dominating for a little while.

Nixa 31-17
Joplin 27-21
Glendale 21-13
Carthage 34-13
Neosho 34-17

Nixa
Joplin
Willard
Carthage
Neosho will put up 49 plus points

- Nixa, still say by at least 3 touchdowns.
- Joplin, based on last week’s results for both teams.
- Glendale, I guess? Neither looked great last week.
- Republic, Waynesville may not win a game unless they catch someone on a bad night.
- Carthage, by a comfortable margin, but Ozark will put up more of a fight than Waynesville did.
- Neosho, again based on last week’s results for both teams.

Nixa @ Webb City... Nixa I don't think it will even be that close. Nixa's offensive line should have its way with the inexperienced Dline of Webb.

Lebanon @ Joplin ... Lebanon I am not entirely sure I am right on this one, but I just have a feeling the Jackets offense will get it done. Big bounce-back game after an abysmal performance (execution-wise) last week.

Kickapoo @ Neosho... Neosho Although I do not think Glendale is overly talented, I do believe Neosho is a decent squad this year. I don't know that Kickapoo has the firepower.

Waynesville @ Republic... Republic I don't think Republic is as bad as that week one matchup made them out to be.

Ozark @ Carthage ... Carthage Ozark realizes they aren't playing the Willards of the world this week and gets brought back to down to earth.

Glendale @ Willard ... Glendale I'm not sure on this one, but I really don't think Willard is that good. Tristan wins the first matchup against his former team!

Nixa - by however much they feel like scoring. I say 42-14.

Lebanon by 10 to secure the first new-to-COC win

Glendale secures the second new-to-COC win

Republic by 28

Carthage wins big

Neosho over the 'poo

Nixa over WC 42-14
(pulling for Jasper co here tho)

Joplin over Lebanon 42-14
(Eagles do their part for Jasper Co)

Glen_ale over Willar_ 31-28.
(Falcons got no D but have a good kicker)

Republic over Waynesworld 35-14
(Party time but not for Waynesworld)

Carthage over Ozark 42-21
(Another Jasper Co W)

Neosho over Poo 42-35
(Iffy on this one. Pulling for old COC all the way)

Nixa @ Webb...Nixa wins convincingly. It might be close for a bit, but their big play ability and line on both sides will be too much for Webb.

Lebanon @ Joplin..Joplin in a close one. Leb new QB is getting baptism by fire, still need another week or two.

Glendale @ Willard...Only the mommas will enjoy this one. Oof. Bad football alert. Glendale will be less bad than Willard and score more points. Not sure anyone is a winner here.

Waynesville @ Republic...REPMO's frosh get to play the 4th quarter.

Ozark @ Carthage...Carthage. Ozark is better, but they're not beat Carthage in week 2 better I don't think. I'm not even sure this one is competitive. If it is, Ozark is better than I thought.

Kickapoo @ Neosho...Toughest pick of the week, IMHO. Gimmie Poo. I'm not convinced Neosho is legitimately good. Poo has a pulse. I think this could be a good matchup and potentially fun game to watch. Poo wins a close one.

With your predictions let me help you out.....dont put Webb down with a field goal ending score. We arent making a field goal this year.

Nixa @ Webb City... Nixa (34-16) Can't count on your opponent to turn the ball over five times every week.

Lebanon @ Joplin ... Lebanon (43-11) Joplin is underwhelming. Doubt they are able to move the ball much in this one.. Lebanon takes care of the ball this week and dominates in the trenches and RB runs wild.

Kickapoo @ Neosho... Neosho (34-27) Neosho has some offensive firepower. Kickapoo looks a work in progress.

Waynesville @ Republic... Republic (44-6) Vegas can’t make the line high enough for WHS opponents this year.

Ozark @ Carthage ... Carthage (34-14) Ozark is much better this year than last. So is Carthage.

Glendale @ Willard ... Willard (3-1) This will be a scrum. Will come down to kickers and punters.

Some interesting games this week. Ozark and Carthage both dominated against weak opponents last week so we'll see who is good and who just beat a bad team. Everyone will probably be watching to see if Nixa gets another one against Webb City. I think they will. If this game ends up super close (I don't think it will be) then the question is Nixa not as good as the hype or is Webb City just much better than people are saying.

Nixa @ Webb - Nixa 35-14. Webb City might score quick and keep it close for awhile but can't contain Nixa through the entirety of the game. Webb City won't be gifted the turnovers like they had last week.

Lebanon @ Joplin - Joplin 24-21. I think this could be a pretty good game.

Glendale @ Willard - Glendale 28-21.

Waynesville @ Republic - Republic 42-21

Ozark @ Carthage - Carthage 35-14 I don't think many people are really looking at this game but we'll find out how much better Ozark is vs last year. Neither of these teams played high caliber opponents last week. The last time Carthage lost to Ozark was the very first game ever played at Haffner Stadium. They actually opened two seasons in a row with a loss to Ozark. I think it might have been 2016 and 17?

Kickapoo @ Neosho Neosho 35-28. This could be a another good game I think. I doubt these teams have ever played each other before.

Glendale Willard score looks intriguing. Glendale gets a point for effort? 😂

Nixa 38-Webb City 7....Nixa is good. Can they do anything in playoffs? Who knows...wish this "new conference" allowed for some OOC games...would love to see Nixa against somebody "big-time". I don't know that they get challenged this year in the COC.

Joplin 31-Lebanon 28...Joplin is notorious for not stringing together good weeks, and Lebanon had fumbling issues in week one or they would have scored more. But Joplin is at home, and Lebanon is going to see what it is like playing real opponents every week. Not sure they are good enough on defense to be a top half team this year.

Willard 28-Glendale 21...going to be bad football, think Willard might have more opportunities for big plays than Glendale and is bigger upfront...but no idea on this game.

Republic 49-Waynesville 14..Republic is pretty athletic at the skill spots. I think they are going to kill the bottom half of the league and struggle against the top half.

Carthage 47-Ozark 10...Ozark isn't nearly as good as they looked last week. Carthage is. How did Carthage get to start with Waynesville, Ozark, Glendale? I thought Nixa and Lebanon did the schedules (at least according to Camdenton).

Neosho 24-Kickapoo 21...I think this is the game of the week (as far as competitiveness) and will tell us a lot about these teams, but also more about Joplin and Glendale. Kickapoo is usually bad offense, Neosho is usually bad defense. Neosho is usually strong on offense, Kickapoo on defense. I think Neosho fans show up, big time atmosphere, and they pull this one out.

Nixa
Joplin
Willard
Republic
Carthage
Neosho

Going with the home teams in the close games. I don't think Nixa and Webb will be close. Sorry, Webb!

If Webb somehow does take Nixa down....they still br underdogs to the Poo.

Man, I've missed the insufferable Webb fans. There is so much about Fall that makes me happy. Football, cooler nights. meat in the smoker, hell I even like mums on front porches. But way way up that list is a Webb fan pouting.
Sounds a lot like me! Except, replace 'mums' with 'moms'. Unless you're British. If so, then I also like mums on porches!

I move to 12-0 on my COC picks through 2 weeks. Neosho is a bit more legit than I thought. Joplin did struggle, and if game was at Lebanon, they might have lost.

Nixa may turbo everyone this season until playoffs (except 9/20 at Carthage).
