Webb City 4-0
Nixa 3-1
Neosho 3-1
Willard 3-1
Carthage 3-1
Republic 2-2
Ozark 1-3
Branson 0-4

Webb City @ Nixa
No question this is the game of the week in the conference. Nixa was very good last week. If they play with the same level of physicality and execution that they did against Willard, I think it will be a tight game. Good line play on both sides of the ball. Will Roderique play? Could make a big difference.

Willard @Ozark
Willard looks to bounce back after a loss and Ozark seeks to get back into the win column after losing their first two conference games. Ozark has had trouble stopping the Willard single wing offense the past couple seasons so I look for Yeargan to have a good game.

Branson @ Republic
Republic looks to be coming on strong and Branson is still searching to find success. I think Republic wins big in this one and puts up a ton of points.

Neosho @Carthage
This is a game that I am very interested in. Two teams that look really good. I will take Carthage at home in a close one but wouldn't be shocked to see Neosho pull this one out.

WEBB by 2 scores
Willard mad from last week opens a can
Repuclic in a beatdown
My thinking game of the week cTOWN by 3

If nixa pays all 4 qtrs. webb may have their hands full. Willard because Ozark don't play the best 11 republic keeps rolling and so does carthage

Webb over Nixa 35-17 (Webb gets straightened out in practice this week and comes out to show they are still Webb.

Willard over Ozark 47-14 (Yeargan runs off some frustration from last week)

Republic over Branson 28-14 (Should be by more but hard for Republic not have a let down after playing Webb so hard)

Carthage over Neosho 28-14 (Might be the best game of the bunch. Neosho is MUCH improved. Game will be close in the early going but Carthage will prove too much.

Webb City @ Nixa..... Webb City wins by 21
Willard @ Ozark..... Willard wins by 14
Branson @ Republic..... Republic wins by 17
Neosho @ Carthage..... Carthage wins by 3!

"Ozark doesn't play their best 11"

Way to be supportive of the new coaching staff.

We haven't lost a single game that we shouldn't have at this point. Bolivar, Republic, and Carthage are better this year. Your comment to basically shift blame on the coaching staff is pathetic and anyone that has watched this team play will tell you Ozark just doesn't have the horses in the barn this year. Every team has been bigger, faster, and more athletic. Your comment basically sounds like a jealous daddy whose genes he passed on aren't good enough to compete and you're having a hard time coming to terms with that.

Willard because Ozark don't play the best 11

Judging by your post count, you're new, and I would hope that you have more moral fiber than joining this board just to whine about the coaching staff, because...

A. you think Ozark's losses are all his fault

B. your son, grandson, relative, whoever is on the team and he doesn't get to play even though he's the best player on the team(cause coaches love to bench their best every game)

C. you're an expert on coaching high school football which is why you don't coach

Which ever it is, the new coach that y'all have for this season is a proven winner and very good at what he does. You can't implement a new system and expect to go out and win every friday from the get go.

Anyways, your entitled to your own opinion.

Everybody has got to buy into the new coach and the new system. If you don't believe in the coach or your players that are on the field, it shows. And it's going to make it even harder on them. Football isn't just a high school sport, it's a community sport. Who know's maybe you're not an adult, maybe you're just a 15 yr old kid who's mad at his coach. It's hard to tell at this point.

Best of luck to everybody this friday.

Perfectly said ChaoticFanatic!

I went the Ozark-Carthgae JV game to watch my nephew play. Which was a great game by the way. Both schools have some talent in the pipeline.

I sat in front of 3 guys (dads of players I am guessing), and all they did was complain about the coach's play calling and decision making.

It's not just the players that need to buy into a new coach/system. The school/fans/booster all need to be supportive. It's not like in the movies. You can't just flip and switch and become a state champion.

And quite frankly, Ozark doesn't have the athletes and talent that it has in past years.

Unreal........a Nixa guy gonna make a rare appearance on here to defend an Ozark guy. First of all I have NO idea who 2015 is, nor do I care. as I've said in the past I'm friends with many Ozark parents of past, present, and future football players. I honestly don't think any of them have any problem at all with the new head coach. They all say he's very passionate about the game and he had to know coming in as my Ozark friends know "it's going to take time".........The last new coach didn't come in his first year and have a playoff season but his second year the stars somehow aligned and he took Ozark to the semis........still shaking my head over that one. And I will throw this out there also only because my Ozark friends truly believe this that if Allison would of not been let go they'd of had a much better chance of having a state championship banner in 2011 or 2012. Ok that's past history........as far as not playing the "best 11" everyone is going to have their own opinion......unfortunately most every parent is always going to question who's playing where and why. You coaches should all know this that the parents know all....HA!!! But.... how many of you coaches that will read this will honestly say they've never put a kid on the field, court or wherever to satisfy a fellow teacher, administrator, booster, or area business owner? ask yourself that honestly..........
I've not watched Ozark play this year and I wont until they play us, so I can't be a judge of what / who they have on the field. All i can say is politics does happen here, there, and everywhere.....any of you guys in the business that deny it then best of luck to you.

Now i'll go ahead with my Friday night prediction for Webb vs Nixa...............all i can say is I'm pretty confident i heard the band playing the theme from Jaws there other day when I drove past the school.......... :)

Enjoy my post, i rarely make appearances here and I'm sure I wont be back until after the Ozark game if this banter is still going on....enjoy your Friday nights fellas they'll be over before you know it....best of luck to all and most importantly I hope all your players stay healthy!!!!

I have not seen Ozark play but its hard to believe that they are not doing everything in their power to get the best result out there. They are very fortunate to have the coach they do. The man knows how to be successful. Unfortunately this kind of thing is something that is heard around fields and courts way, way, too often. You have to know that to most level headed people it sounds like nothing more than sour grapes.
I know and have worked with countless coaches in the area. And almost all of them have nothing but what is best for their athletes at heart. They take to task not only trying to win, but teaching these young folks the game, and at the same time trying to make them better people. Im not sure I have ever talked to an athlete or former athlete that did not learn as much about life from experiences with a coach as they did the game they play. That being said, they all want to win, and will put the best guys out there to help them do so ( assuming there is not a reason that prevents them from doing so)

But.... how many of you coaches that will read this will honestly say they've never put a kid on the field, court or wherever to satisfy a fellow teacher, administrator, booster, or area business owner? ask yourself that honestly...........

I haven't, and I don't plan on it. If that gets me fired then I don't want to be in that situation anyways.

Sometimes it takes a down year to get the passion back. Every team goes through them. For us it was my senior year. We went 5-5 and it was not from the lack of trying. We had 18 seniors which most were more passionate about baseball or it was their first year playing ever. The next year we went 8-2 and then the dynasty kept chugging along. How is their pee-wee program. Did Ozark have a week pee-wee program with this class? If they don't get the passion or buy in to it during pee-wee you will rarely just have it when they get into high school.
