Meeting next Thursday. That would shut down Smithville, Staley, Liberty North, Liberty, Kearney, Excelsior Springs, North Kansas City, Oak Park, Winnetonka, St. Pius X. What a joke. Petitions are passing around.

Almost three thousand signatures already:

I know the Democrats want to keep the misery index high, but your fear tactics are BULL ***ING SH**.

chairman of the clay county board of health WAS a nurse now owns a miniature golf course.

Vice chair works at LPS as health director. in charge of of school nurses I guess. nursing degree

Treasurer has a PT degree but works in operations at Belton Hospital. not performing operations but the type of operations where if a load of stuff is delivered he tells them where to put it.

Secretary has no medical background except married to a doctor. Business manager at family business.

Vice secretary is an actual physician

this info is on the county health website, kind of what I was expecting. My HOA board is more qualified

Lafayette County Health Department tried this, suggesting no sports for area schools. Lexington said ok, but by a week or two, the Health Department apparently changed their stance. Heard it through social media and the grapevine.

I didn't see where the health department changed its mind. I have read where the school board changed its mind. ... Anyone heard anything about Cass County, one way or the other?

Watching very intently here. JN this is the BEST post you have ever made here................I know all the Highway 92 folks have had just about enough. No school..............pay property taxes under protest or DO NOT PAY AT ALL. The Clay County Health Department is horrific. Being bullied by the enemy COVID MOB. We the People are coming.................and nothing can stop what happens next.

Step 1 Kearney hot mom doesn’t pay her taxes
Step 2 The county puts a lien against her house
Step 3 The county takes her house
Step 4 The tophat offers her a place to stay
Step 5 They fall in love

Health dept changed its position

When the Lafayette Co Health Dept wanted to shut down HS sports they didn't say anything about out of school sports. I think the schools would be in a much better position to monitor their kids.

I have to wonder if health departments are enjoying the new powers and attention they are getting right now making orders that significantly impact people and businesses or if they are longing to go back to the days of issuing septic tank permits, inspecting restaurants, and giving malaria shots to people planning trips to Africa.

Dang Top, you sound fired up. How silly to shut things down considering we have zero deaths of anyone 18 or under in Missouri, and the death rate for that group is pretty near zero nationally. Only 3% of total COVID deaths are people under age 45 nationally. There is no reason to shut anything down.

This virus is killing people over 65 with co-morbidity issues...period. Two-thirds of all the people dying would have likely died within this year regardless of whether there was COVID, according to a British study.

The policy of shutting down schools and activities is RUBBISH. We have less than 90 people under 18 years old in the entire United State that have died from COVID...out of 75,000,0000 people in that age group.

From watching the NKC school board meeting last week, sports were addressed. In Summary, the Class 5 and 6 schools seem to be pushing for Spring.

Just curious but do school administrators really believe the situation will be drastically different in the spring? I don't. Just like all the events that were moved from spring to fall and now are just being canceled. But I'm not a public health expert so what do I know.

I just envision continued slow spread of this disease coupled with all the normal illnesses that come about through winter and early spring. It will likely be all the same concerns as now except it will be more difficult to isolate the covid-positive-but-not-sick from the everything-else-regular-sick.

Let's see where we are on Oct. 1st... just a thought.
