Class 5

With or without Desmet, Class 5 is going to be a dogfight.

Staley, Webb City, Ladue, Eureka, Jackson, Capitol City (probably), Zumwalt North, Farmington, Cape Central, Kearney
Out of those names I'd put Eureka, Jackson, Ladue, and Webb City as the favorites. How many starters does Staley return? There's also Carthage who will most likely lock horns with Webb City in a district championship.

those numbers are doubled. And example is DeSmet is currently listed at 1367 which includes the enrollment being doubled and the 1.35 multiplier. So 1367 divided by 1.35 equals 1012. It’s basic math my friend.
But isn't De Smet's enrollment of 1367 what they ended up with when the 9-11 grade method was calculated out? I also believe their enrollment is going up which further suggests they'll be in Class 6. For instance, how does MSHSAA have SLUH at 2001 when you got them at 1492 for next season? Is that 2001 their enrollment from 9-12 or 9-11?

your overthinking it. It is enrollments for 9-11. For all boy and girl schools the enrollment is doubled. MSHSAA then puts a multiplier of 1.35 for all private and charter schools.
I simply took away the multiplier as MSHSAA is doing next year. So for SLUH, when you remove the multiplier from 2001 it is 1492.
Removing the multiplier is going to surprise a lot of people and drop schools down. Class 2 and 3 and going to be stacked and dominated by private schools at least for 2 years until this all balances out.

Camdenton was class 5 for nine years from 2007-2015. They had some success going to the playoffs 5 out of 9 years. Winning a district champ in 09 and going to the quarterfinals 10, 11, 12, 13. Lost a couple district champ games to the eventual state champ (07 to waynesville, 14 to Battle)

Class 4 contenders have to be teams like: Kearney (if they stay 4), West Plains, Hannibal, Smithville, Harrisonville, Helias, possibly Savannah with a new HC??)
