So you're telling me a lot of class 5 teams have this Friday off?

Sure seems like MSHSAA could put 32 teams in Class 6 and then the same amount of teams (less than 64) in each of the other 5 classes. Not sure of the exact numbers but probably means that each #1 team in the district earns a bye in week one (because most districts are 7 team districts). For #1, they are rewarded with a week off (the starters barely play in these 1/8 games) and the risk of injury would be gone, and #1 teams could heal up, etc.

And then you'd have the bottom team playing #2 instead of #1, which helps a bit with that 1/8 matchup that some complain about (not that 2/7 is that much better).

Anyway, just a little chatter since Cards1968 went to all this trouble.

Well, I kinda promised this in a way. Two weeks ago I said I'd post the District points the last two weeks. Didn't really think ahead too much, but thought since points really don't matter now, and there's been a few match-ups automatically changed due to head-to-head I'd post brackets (except for Class 4 since they have to ALWAYS jump the gun

). Still, thanks for the kind words, but it wasn't much trouble.
