Yeah. Ask Joey. You either have speed or you're chasing it.
Oak Grove suddenly has become the scoring machine. I saw them live hosting Odessa back in September would never have expected this. Of all leagues in this region the MRVC West has been the real head scratcher.Oak Grove lost to LCP but beat Harrisonville but that win in week 9 for Harrisonville keeps me undecided.
Playing friday.Radio guys were talking about Omari maybe being available soon???
They are getting jackson backWhat kids is webb getting back? Didnt they have their top 2 rbs out?
I've watched most of Carthage games this year. They start a lot of sophs and juniors. If RS has a couple good athletes that can gain the edge they may burn Carthage on big plays and make it a game. That is how a significant number of the scores against the Tigers were earned... big or busted up plays, run around the edge and it's over. It's been a major weakness of this particular team. Defense has averaged the most points allowed in a decade.Webb easily yes. Belton likes to play the "stall" game offensively and matriculate the ball downfield. Their D will not get a stop until this is turbo.
Carthage should win. RS, having seen them in person, does have a couple of real good offensive skill athletes it is a matter of getting the edge and/or space. Overall I tend to doubt this is close but just flat know so little about Carthage this year except they upset Webb somehow (perhaps injury bug and/or rivalry factor).
Sums up so many teams across MO it has been among the least week-to-week predictable seasons ever and I've been around this since the 70s..............I've watched most of Carthage games this year. Offensively they are pretty basic but effective. They shot themselves in the foot a lot the first few weeks but seem better now. The QB and Collins kid operate in somewhat similar fashion as the previous 2 years with Gall, just not on the same level. But they will run a lot of the yards with a few other kids sprinkled in here and there. They usually go for it on 4th down. I can't recall the last time I saw a FG attempt.
In my opinon they got Webb City because Webb City was predictable and one dimensional. You could make the same case for Carthage as well though. It was a good game for Carthage, they made a few more key plays offensively and defense was able to pull it out. I kinda doubt they would repeat if given the chance especially if one of the stud backs returns but who knows. That game was kind of a shocker to be honest. It's been a weird season for Carthage. "Almost" beat Republic and Nixa. Lost bad to Branson. Lost really bad to Joplin. Beat Webb City. Beat but struggled with Carl and Neosho.
So who knows how tonight will go!
Maybe you know the answer to this.... Carthage AD sent out a message that the only students permitted to enter the game without adult supervision are active students from RS or Carthage HS and will be verified with a roster and student ID.Sums up so many teams across MO it has been among the least week-to-week predictable seasons ever and I've been around this since the 70s..............
Has been an ongoing issue. I noticed similar at Grandview last month. Upped security and stricter supervision rules. Thing is I'd bet, long as the trip is for Carthage, you all outnumber RS in the stands.Maybe you know the answer to this.... Is this unique to this game or is this typical in that area? Is it due to more problems up there with teenagers looking to start trouble (Worlds of Fun) type stuff?
We were at Raytown a few weeks ago and they had separate entrances for the visitor and home fans, they were also wrist banding any kids not in HS as they have to have adult supervision.Maybe you know the answer to this.... probably helps when they get sued.Maybe you know the answer to this.... Carthage AD sent out a message that the only students permitted to enter the game without adult supervision are active students from RS or Carthage HS and will be verified with a roster and student ID.

No. Wont be. Jackson back but probably a lightly used addition tonight.Gallardo back from ACL tear?
I don't know anything about the school so out of curiosity I did a quick google search. First school rating site I brought up showed 2% of students proficient in math and every other ranking was "far below average". So yeah that makes sense. We were at Raytown a few weeks ago and they had separate entrances for the visitor and home fans, they were also wrist banding any kids not in HS as they have to have adult supervision.
Raytown is far from the nice place it was just 15-20 years ago
