The above score is being reported on semo.com. Hall Of Fame coach Danny Farmer loves to play in big game and Tony Irons and his Vashon Woverines was willing to drive to New Madrid County high school to compete against one of the top class 3 teams in Missouri. Southeast Missouri high school teams are known to be competitive against the top schools in Missouri.

St. Mary's is another top class 4 team in Missouri and will visit Charleston latter in the year. St. Mary's is very talented and probably a step ahead of Vashon @ the present. Vashon has a lot of new players with another class 4 state championship in mind.

It appears to me the class 4 state champions will either be St. Mary's, Sikeston or Vashon. I like St. Mary's because of their guards. They make the game of basketball look easy and their schedule is very challenging. Danny Farmer win ever if Vashon and St. Mary's defeats Charleston because the class 3 state championships are more important the defeating Vashon and St. Mary's.

You say Tony Irons and Vashon love to play the big game and they were "willing to drive to NMCC to compete against one of the top class 3 teams in Missouri."

Just last year you poked fun at Sikeston for scheduling Class 3 Whitfield and Tolton.

Bucket, nice to see you back on mosports. Charleston played the rebuilding Vashon Woverines very well. Some say Charleston should have won the game. This was a big game for Danny Farmer and his Bluejays. The fearless Danny Farmer knows top competition will help in the class 3 districts and beyond. Charleston will line up against St. Mary's soon. I believe St. Mary's is the top class 4 team in Missouri not Vashon with Sikeston a close second. Vashon is living on reputation @ the present but under the direction of Tony Irons good things will come the latter part of Feb.

Sikeston will clock Whitfield and Tolton. Chaminade is the best team the Sikeston Bulldogs will face until their quarter-final date with Vashon or St. Mary's with the outcome in doubt.

Most of my friends believe if you have a competing team and have a chance @ winning a district and beyond games, a tough schedule of playing better teams are important. Some teams have trouble winning games when you are behind in the 3rd or 4th quarter and every " free throw " or "turn over " is important to win the game.

How did Vashon come from behind to defeat Charleston last week. Tony Irons stated " This was an early Christmas present for his Vashon Woverines ".

You avoided my point, but that's fine.

Vashon defeated Whitney Young from Chicago in the Chicago Elite Classic & WY is the defending 4A state champ. Vashon must be coming along pretty quickly. WY is very good and has amazing guard play.

I will have to take a gentleman issue w/ Sikeston clocking Tolton. Sikeston is definitely a favorite to win class 4, but Tolton is a very strong team albeit little young and experienced.

Sikeston clocked Tolton last year. The Bulldogs are better this year. I've gotta believe Whitfield and Tolton will be treated badly on back to back nights.

stctkt, I'll take gentleman bet with you. I am on St. Mary's and Sikeston to win class 4. Vashon appears to be getting better but they can not defeat St. Mary's in a head to head game on a neutral court.

Chaminade @ St. Mary's on Friday 12-8-17. St. Mary's may be without Yahuza Rasas 6"7" who received two T's his last game and must sit out the next game. St. Mary's is appealing the second T which was a thundering dunk and hanging on the rim. I believe the MSHSAA will not reverse the Ref's decision. I have this game a " Pick game with the odds favoring Mary's. I've gotta be there to see this one.
