This may be the hardest class to pick. I know Grandview is a very talented team, but don't know a lot about the rest of the pack.

My picks:
- Farmington in an upset
- Hillsboro
- Jennings
- Borgia
- Sullivan
- Logan Rogersville
- Grandview
- Southeast KC

I think the hardest picks are Farmington/Cape Central and Hillsboro/St. Mary’s. I feel like if there are two I could potentially be wrong on, it’s those two.

I've had some (but limited) time to catch a few games in person and several online but will only pick the NWMO ones:

C4: Warrensburg over Sullivan. Both teams have a head scratching loss or two but these intersectional games are always about impossible to pick so this is just a "homer" guess.

Grandview over Raytown South. A rematch of the 2018 C4 title game. Have seen both and feel the Bulldogs are at or perhaps a tick above last year's stellar squad and Ray South is pretty streaky and a bit down so this one should not be close. Sikeston losing was a real eye opener and may have opened the door for Grandview to repeat.

Southeast over STJ Lafayette. The Knights are on a roll. These two played in the opening round of the Kearney tourney and I expect another very close one here.

C5: Park Hill South over William Chrisman. This is a pure guess. Catch the Panthers on the wrong night this could be a blowout. Both teams have been very inconsistent, though.

Blue Springs South over Lee's Summit North. My "shocker" of the sectionals this is an eerie reversal for North who just garnered one of the program's biggest wins over the Rock avenging two regular season double digit losses now they face a very capable, dangerous conference rival whom they defeated in similar fashion. This, on paper, should not happen and may not but it will be a single digits contest regardless.

Grandview escapes an 11-point deficit with 3 minutes remaining to nip rival Ray South! Never saw that coming but very often championship teams who escape like this won't be stopped....................we shall see.

Kind of like the one in "The Last Picture Show coached by Coach Popper. Just something to pass the time till football season.
The boys came back in the 4th and made it look respectable in the paper tomorrow

Didn't mean to disparage the WC hoops. It's just that their football team has been a monster for so long it isn't easy for their basketballers to come close to that high standard. 16 wins is not bad.

I think they had 4 days to practice before their first game. It’s very hard to adapt the split back veer to basketball

Webb City had a 16-0 run in the second half to make Rog sweat a little, but the Wildcats pulled it out 63-52.

Say what you will about Webb City boys basketball, but they've got a state title while Glendale doesn't! The Falcons are 6-0 all-time against Webb City, though.

They may be even better the next couple of years. Losing only one senior and they have a very talented sophomore class. They have four sophomores and one freshman in their 9-man rotation. They are lacking size, with their tallest player being 6'4.
