CLASS 4

Top 3 teams - the best in Class 4 - stay put. No surprises. They are the elite.

1. Webb City, 8-0
2. Carl Junction, 7-1
3. Platte County, 7-1

Two St. Louis teams move in to the next two spots:

4. Parkway Central, 7-1
5. Ladue, 6-2

And then the rest of the top 10 (Yawn), the fodder teams for the elite above...

6. Kearney, 6-2
7. St. Francis Borgia, 8-0
8. Smithville, 7-1
9. MICDS, 6-2
10. Parkway North

Webb the best..but not the turbo clock monsters of previous years. CJ? LOL...going nowhere and not in the top 5. Platte County will lose again, and go 1-14 versus The Purple Swarm. St. Louis will produce a finalist that gets turbo clocked. THANK GOD for the district rotation schedule.

Now for the real list:

1. Webb
2. Platte County.
3. Kearney - until Friday night when they beat PC again.
4. Carl Junction - a non factor.
5. Smithville
6. St. Fancis (token St. Louis team)
7. Lafayette
8. Grain Valley
9. Harrisonville
10 West Plains

Hon. Mention: Ladue, Parkway Central, Excelsior Springs, McDonald County (jk)

I went to ur precious Calpreps, the web site that never lies, and it has PC beating your purple pups 26-24 on a neutral field. So maybe no turbo clock. Ill give you that 1.

Then I put in my Bulldogs against your bullpups. Uh oh. tsk tsk tsk. You wont like the results.

Carl Junction 28; Karknee 12 on a neutral field.

If you beat Platte on Friday, better hope you play us on your field instead of ours in the semif.

Can u stamp that?

The top two teams in Class 4 are from SWMO and are only about 5 miles apart. I can guarantee that Coach Roderique, his staff, and the WC fans are not overlooking CJ, even though many WC fans on here act like they are. This will be a battle and if WC doesn't play their "A" game, CJ just might surprise a few people.

No Doubt CJ is well coached and a good opponent but we here the same story every year.

I heard the same nonsense in 2015 when everyone thought Harrisonville was #2....and thought Webb would walk through Kearney. LOL... If Kearney hadn't lost their best wide receiver in the playoffs, D1 baseball player Jess Davis, it would have been a Kearney turbo clock game.

"Carl Junction 28; Karnee 12 on a neutral field" - Cal Preps

Keep chirping, JN.

Dare you STAMP it?

If ands and buts were candy and nutz....

Kar-Knee won't even get out of districts. they may fall as far as 9 in 4a rankings by this time next week. To go from 2 to 9 in 8 games. ROFL!!!!!!
Way to go!!!

Class 4 district 8 going be very interesting. Think there 4 differant teams that could win that district.

If Platte County beats Kearney and Lafayette beats Maryville seeds should be and my guess in results.

1. Platte County
2. Smithville
3. Lafayette
4. Kearney
5. Ex Springs

If PC/Smithville Final
Platte County wins. They will be able to pass on Smithville Secondary.

If PC/Lafayette Final
Lafayette Talent outscores PC in shootout. Over/under 100 points

If Kearney/Smithville
Smithville grinds it out in 24-21 win

If Kearney/Lafayette
Kearney's team beats Lafayette talent.

I do remember CJ beating Webb City in football a long, long, long time ago. The year was 2016 if I recall.

Seriously, lots of work to be done before the Bulldogs get another crack at Webb. It would be wise to not look past the OC teams each will meet in the district semifinals, assuming the district seeding plays out as expected.

I've said before I think this CJ team is the best I've seen in no small part because of Wall. If WC and CJ meet up again in the district final it won't be a state championship game but it could be a state championship caliber game.

What is up with the jabs at Kearney? Until CJ has the chance to actually PLAY Kearney, I think I would show them a tad more respect as a program. I’m a CJ fan too, but you are knocking a program that has proven to be contenders year after year. If anyone can be called a “Bullpup”, it is probably Carl at this point.

My apologies to Carl Junction. Didn’t realize Flint was one of many personalities of the Mosports trickster, aka Carthagemom and KOLA. CJ apparently is the chosen alias this year.

Please teach me how to change my name, Baker. I need a change from 2008.

My apologies to Kearney. My beef is with that trikster JN Returns. Since hes a kearney supporter, the town takes a hit. Probably my bad on that. But i make no apologies thinking that i DO believe CJ is the best 4A team in the state, and the will make this very clear over the next 6 weeks.

Stamp it.

Didn't we discuss the use of the "A"? Who's the best 4B team in the state?

It's been what, a decade since the "A" was dropped. And still almost everyone I know outside of the media still uses that terminology.

I suspect it was originally written as "A", "AA", "AAA", etc... but was pronounced "1-A", "2-A". The question is, what did/does the "A" stand for?

Sorry, but just have to say that to be so deep of a district, 6 of the 8 teams combining for a 5% chance of winning doesn't make much sense to me.

It won't make sense until some game are played. I'm thinking that District 8 is top heavy...with three strong teams after. Probably not good enough to knock off the top 2..just Like District 5. But I still think #3 to #6 is a tad bit stronger in D8 over D5.

Watch Ladue Horton Watkins. From the get go my money has been on them making the title game in CoMo.

Just................no. My prediction (would love to be wrong) is last Friday's beat down will have a major effect on Kearney the rest of the way. It has been circa 2004-05 since I've seen them play like they did last Friday night, good as Staley is.

Chances of winning:

1. Platte County 48%
2. Smithville 2%
3. Lafayette 0%

I know I sound like a real downer but, after what I witnessed the first two weeks actually getting out to games, would not put it past a Lafayette or Excelsior being able to get a couple of good bounces and big plays and knock Kearney out early. Platte County is now my heavy favorite in C4 D8.

I know score comparisons are sometimes silly but PC was TIED with Staley at 27 at the half. K was out of that game about 1 minute into the first quarter. Tomorrow night's first quarter will tell just about everything about what to expect from the KDogs the rest of the way. Another slow, lethargic start (they did this vs. Raytown as well) and they will get buried again. Come out with an anger and attitude and who knows because they definitely have had PC's number since the two started playing regularly in 2008.

Im rooting-tooting for your purple pups to pull the upset tonite. I think my Bulldog boys have a much better chance against the Karn then they will against PC. But I dont think it;ll happen

It probably won't happen that you will play either.
