Anyone disagree?

You can't count out Lafayette. They are a very good team, with a chip on their shoulders after last years district loss. I see them in the final 4 over Bolivar.

I agree with WP Alum. Lafayette is a very good team that is lightening fast. Their only losses were to Barstow and to some Texas team that at the time was highly ranked in the nation.

How do they compare to last years team? Didn't they get beat by 4 or 5 seed last year in districts?

Outside of the loss of Spencer Wester, the thing that makes me most nervous about Glendale is our history of losing to teams in the post-season that we had defeated during the regular season (i.e. Rogersville and West Plains). That's why I'm going to root for Hillcrest and Aurora to pull off some "upsets."

I wouldn't count out Lafayette either, but still would favor Bolivar. Their only losses have been to Oak Hill, Bishop Gorman, Kickapoo, and a 1-point loss to Republic. Kickapoo had an easier time with Barstow than they had with Bolivar. Bolivar is tough -- a bunch of guards who shoot lights out and a skilled 6'6" big.

Oh, and metro, I think that looks like a solid choice for Final Four in Class 4 -- and it would be a great group, hope it happens that way.

Barstow has everyone but Drew Cortez back from last years team. Led my Caleb Bennett. I don't think they get stopped this year. Bolivar is very good. I just think this is Lafayette's year.

Upset #1 happened tonight, Hornets over Rog 54-51. #1 Glendale(16-9) Vs. Hillcrest(9-17) Thursday @ Rog.

Yes that was Atascocita a very highly regarded team in the Lone Star state. I have a very good feeling about Lafayette this year and think they are not just going to the Final Four but will win it all.

Providing neither slips up the quarterfinal is Saturday March 12 at 7:45 PM in Independence. If it happens I expect about 100,000% to attend!
