#1 Carl Junction vs McDonald County - arguments were made that CJ could be better prepared in the post season if they left the Big 8 for a stronger conference with bigger schools. Now we'll see - well maybe after round 1, as this week the Bulldogs meet who else, but the winless, last place team from the Big 8 (how odd).
Bulldogs 49, Mac 0.

#2 Webb City vs Marshfield - the Blue Jays will not offer any resistance to the "machine", even if fumble-prone Webb puts the ball on the ground a half dozen times this Friday (which I don't think will happen). The Cards will be too much for the little COC's team from I-44 exit 100. Speaking of exits...
Webb City 42, Marshfield 7.

#3 Camdenton vs West Plains - while the Lakers try to figure out how their dreams for a #1 district seed slipped away and instead they fell to third by a mere .01, the Zizzers are tuning up for a first round upset bid. If running back Keegan Hoopes
adds to his season total of like 10,000 yards with another big game and 4 or 5 touchdowns, look out Lakers. But in the end, it's probably more like...
Camdenton 35, West Plains 26

#4 Hillcrest vs Bolivar - the Hornets will put a lot of quality athletes on the field, especially on offense, and will simply outscore the Liberators.
Hillcrest 42, Bolivar 35.

Next week should see the seeds hold true to form:
#4 Hillcrest at #1 Carl Junction
#3 Camdenton at #2 Webb City

Any chance we could talk them into 5:00 and 8:00 starts??? Would love to watch that DH with the less than 10 minute drive between games.

I'm hoping Webb/Cameyton can hook up again. Some great games, great rivalry back in the day.

Heading to Webb City for round 1, will be interesting to see how focused they are knowing they have a huge test the following week. This group has seemed to lose theirs at times this year. I honestly would not be surprised to see them struggle against Marshfield for awhile. They'll get it together by the second half to bury another inferior opponent.

WC might play sloppy and I wouldn't be shocked if they do given how the year has gone but if it is the second half before Marshfield is put away it will be a huge red flag. There was a big difference between facing Marshfield in the 2-7 game and Camdenton facing an underrated West Plains team as the 6 seed. Huge difference between 1-6 and 7-8 in this district.

I guess I mean put away in WC's usual sense. Up 21-0 or so on a weaker opponent at half is their struggle typically, and what I intended to say.

What I can't believe is you are At T10 in the Big Easy posting on MoSports,,,,have they shut Bourbon Street down???

I think Webb's coaches would be very pleased if the halftime score is 21-0 against anyone this year, regardless of the perceived quality of the opponent. Anything positive from the offense is a good sign.

Webb always finds a different level come play off time. Good tune up, get some things worked on and keep making progress each week.

219 yards to 11 in the first quarter. Glad we can give ribbons to every team for making the playoffs.....
42-0. 5:19 left in 2nd. Only 3 pass attempts. Hope they have the freshmen team waiting for the second half bc our 7th running back just gashed for 20 and a td. Don't give up Marshfield. Make it a memory worth remembering!!!
