Montgomery County can match up with them. Probably the 2 best teams in Class 3 and will meet in quarter-final I believe
C3 NW region looks to be between Districts 14-15 (KIPP and East Buchanan). If schedule truly matters I love these two to match up for a trip to the Final Four.
If Hermann doesn't upset Mont. and they could. Hermann slowed the game down and had a real great game plan the first time they played. Been watching Mont. all year. Go on line and look at comparison scores between Principia and Montgomery. Principia has 6'9" and 6'7" they could negate Mont. 6'8" player. Principia has an outstanding guard but so does Mont. I am pretty sure Principia will be there at the quarterfinal game. not as sure about Mont. Hermann has only lost 4 games and Dixon or Fatima are excellent teams. When I was coaching, we played a team who was undefeated going into the 1/4 final game. We were under 500 and we won at the buzzer to go to the Final Four. "that's why you play the games"

Principia would have been even better if Edwards kid does not move to Cardinal Ritter.
even without Edwards Principia is a force, I drove to Montgomery City to watch them play Columbia Battle, they thumped them by almost 30, Battle looked like they just gave up. Montgomery's conference schedule sucks but their non conference schedule is very impressive. Only loss to Union from Tulsa OK. 63-62.
Hermann did hold the ball when they matched up at Hermann, I think a 5 point win by Montgomery, that only works if you can score and get some stops on defense. Montgomery beat Borgia 59-44 at Borgia, Hermann lost at Borgia by 17. Hermann could win, but I wouldn't put any money on it.
If you want to see the class 3 championship game, it will be when Principia and Montgomery match up.
I can promise you this, Principia won't slow the game down. If you want to see a heavyweight match up put that game on your schedule.

Yes, with the level of competition this year, some strong teams will inevitably be eliminated before the Final Four. Matchups, seeding, and upsets always play a big role, and even top teams aren’t guaranteed a deep run. It’s all about who peaks at the right time and handles the pressure best.
Will anyone come within 30 points of Principia? How many kids have moved into district this year compared to last years roster?

Their schedule is one signature win after another. I would say SIKESTON is the one that stands out in my mind. Honestly don't we have three major favorites in the smaller class Final Fours this week (Eugene and defending champ Chadwick alongside this C3 mega favorite)?
Still think Eugene wins but that could be the top title game of this weekend. All Puxico losses were to teams still alive a couple to larger schools and they opened the season beating Chadwick.
Back in the old days SEMO hoops was easy to spot (Scott County Central and Charleston). Not so much especially for these small schools anymore!
They got their stud last year and a bunch of 9th graders this year. Not sure about upper classmen. They'll look good in class 4 or 5 soon

Was just peeking at their amazing schedule again blew out Vianney, too. I think I will go GREAT instead of just good when they move up.

IWA needs to go Link and leave MO C6 girls alone. In saying that I am going to a game (sorry wrong board LOL) tomorrow night between a couple of KC metro teams that "may" be able to give them a game..................
You also just hit on why I am only looking at/covering a very few key girls BB games this year. Way too overrun by the privates in my little opinion.
Funny that st. vincent's goes from 11-14 last year to 26-3 anda final four this year.
Private schools are forcing the publics to make more moves.

I think how the privates schools are able to do it is by families hosting kids and coming to the private districts. Private schools allow them to be there 4 years, as public schools can only be there a year.
St. Vincent is starting to remind me of Valle Catholic. Make NO mistake I root for ALL kiddos but MSHSAA has to be looking into becoming TN/MS and soon. Like I said C4-5-6 girls finals last year really took me back a step wanting to cover any of those.
