Wide open district lead to major bracket busting.

#6 DeSoto claims the title beating #5 Windsor in 3

Desoto upset #3 Park Hills and #2 Potosi on the way to the title game.
Windsor upset #4 Ste Gen and #1 North County on the way to title game.

Believe DeSoto will match up with Perryville, while U City will probably play Lutheran South (if they get past Bishop Dubourgh) this weekend with a trip to final 4 on the line.

Seems like Class 3 in the SEMO MAAA region was very average this year and Lutheran South should gain the trip to Cape if they are anywhere near the team they usually are.

Notre dame (who Perryville beat) lost to Lutheran South 25-23 and 25-20 recently in the Festus tournament. Perryville took them to 3 last year in sectionals so I would not say that it will be cake walk for Lutheran South. Notre dame finished with 3 losses-2 to Perryville and 1 to Lutheran South. If the Pirates get by Desoto, they can play with Lutheran South.

Will be down in Cape for the tournament and hope to see then playing in their 1st final four.

DeSoto seems to be playing much better as of late, but I expect both PHS and South to be in the title match.

Sometimes the opening match can have a lot to do with the way the second goes. PHS will definitely have the tougher opening draw if the schedule I am looking at is correct. Lutheran South is hosting and won't have much more than a pre-match warm up when they take on U City - the winner of a very weak District 4 - in their first match of the day.

Lutheran south is definitely the favorite. The pirates will have to play the perfect game if they get by desoto.
