The Bracket is as lopsided as it gets. Maryville, Center, Richmond, Odessa, Oak Grove, all in one Quarter of the bracket. Looks like the rest of the State gets a break.
That's one way to look at it; I personally like looking at it this way because it gives teams like Monett, whose only loss is to Lamar 34-49, bulliten board material (Cassville too, whose only losses are to Lamar and to Monett 20-21)Looks like the rest of the State gets a break.
And St. Pius who beat Odessa, and ClintonThe Bracket is as lopsided as it gets. Maryville, Center, Richmond, Odessa, Oak Grove, all in one Quarter of the bracket. Looks like the rest of the State gets a break.
and... hmm... what's that team that is 8-1....ummm..... *thinks*... oh yeah.. ChillicotheAnd St. Pius who beat Odessa, and Clinton
Yeah, I don't think anybody is forgetting about Chillicothe. That score against Maryville is clearly the outlier. They've easily handled the rest of their schedule. They were good last year, and they're good again this year.and... hmm... what's that team that is 8-1....ummm..... *thinks*... oh yeah.. Chillicothe![]()
Games from here on aren't played on bulletin boards. In elimination games, if you need something some random person said to get you motivated, you have bigger problems.Bulliten board material for Blair Oaks, too![]()
I just kind of assumed they were included. A lot of good teams in two districtsand... hmm... what's that team that is 8-1....ummm..... *thinks*... oh yeah.. Chillicothe![]()
Lutheran South will probably come out of that districtAnybody know anything about Class 3 Miller Career Academy? Besides a beatdown by Class 6 CBC they have beat good teams like Hogan Prep and John Burroughs.
Depends on how effectively you can spin it to your playersGames from here on aren't played on bulletin boards. In elimination games, if you need something some random person said to get you motivated, you have bigger problems.
Because they would come out of that district if they were in it.Maybe, but how the heck did Lutheran South lose to Sullivan by 3 TD's?
Would have been 4 touchdowns if Sullivan's JV didnt give up a 30 yard touchdown pass as the horn blew on the last play...Maybe, but how the heck did Lutheran South lose to Sullivan by 3 TD's?
So did everyone else in that district. I'm saying Lutheran South will come out of District 2. I think every team you just mentioned would win district 2, were they in it.Would have been 4 touchdowns if Sullivan's JV didnt give up a 30 yard touchdown pass as the horn blew on the last play...
South didnt play the Schrader kid because he supposably got a conucssion a few weeks ago and they were saving him for district play. With that factored in, I'd say its still a two score game in Sullivan's favor. We dont tend to score as much as we did friday night (hard not to score when you have a 400+ yard rushing game) but we always come to play defense.
And I respectfully disagree that they would come out of that district even with the Schrader kid on the field. Their offensive line was pretty soft and their defensive scheme is a head scratcher. I know they can't beat Owensville and probably wouldnt be able to beat Osage or Sullivan, and maybe even Springfield Catholic. Tough to say, but I think South played a watered down schedule this year. IMO
I would tend to agree with the guys from the north. Class 3 in Southwest Missouri is not as good as it has been. With Lamar being the exception, The Big 8 is probably as bad as it has been in the last 20 years. Yes, I have seen all 8 teams play.
That is why I said, with Lamar being the exception. Mac Cty is class 4, and the rest are class 3. Thanks.
