Class 2 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Bowling Green 22 (Projected to be Valle) vs. Lamar 34
Fair Grove 35 (Projected to be Lafayette County) vs. South Shelby 17 (Projected to be Mid-Buchanan)

State Championship
Lamar 28 vs. Fair Grove 21 (was projected to be Valle over LC)

State Champion - Lamar

This one was definitely the hardest class to predict this past weekend. The projections were wrong for three of the four but so were most of us on our actual picks I believe. If you would've told me halfway through the year that Lamar would be expected to be the state champion going into the semifinals, I probably would not have believed you. Interested to see how this one plays out!

I personally think the winner of BG/Lamar wins state. And if you would have told me that Lamar would have a chance to play in the state championship game if they win this weekend, I would have told you, you are crazy! Lamar still isn't fully healthy, and BG will be a tough out!

Two of the best quarters in any class were last weekend. One was nip and tuck in Higg the other was quite the Mid Buch comeback that fell just short. The latter was a real, real treat to watch the replay yesterday.

Could absolutely be wrong, it will happen at some point. But I don’t believe in FG beating Lamar or any school from NEMO until it happens within class 2. I have Lamar based on that alone. I also think we are getting super healthy. Hitting our stride at the right time. BG is definitely (imo) the team in our way most to repeating. Just can’t trust FG until I’m wrong. That’s been a rule since 2010 lol

He's playing. Offense only, but hasn't been a threat to run, like he normally would! This week could be the week!
