Class 2 Sectional Pairings: All Games Monday at 7:00 PM

Crystal City(8-3) at Caruthersville(10-1)

why: A season ago Caruthersville earned a 39-6 victory on the opening round of the playoffs. Crystal City must slow the Tiger ground game to have any chance. Darrell Monroe joined Elbie Fonda in their regional victory scoring 4 touchdowns as the pair combined for over 300 yards of rushing.

Maplewood RH (9-2) at Brentwood (7-3)
why: A huge St. Louis small school rivalry game, this series has been dominated by Maplewood in recent years. Junior QB Kahlid Hagens has produced nearly 2500 yards of offense for Maplewood and is the key to this game.

Fair Grove(11-0) at Mountain View Liberty(11-0)
why: This game would make an outstanding Class 2 title game, it's too bad only one team gets to move on. QB Michael Thomas has been solid for Fair Grove passing for nearly 20 touchdowns without an interceptions, while Kyle Burger is a 1500 yard rusher. Mountain View has as many weapons as any team in Class 2 and has advanced perfectly through a brutal schdule.

El Dorado Springs (6-5) at Lamar (10-1)
why: Only a loss to Cassville (No. 1 in class 3) the Tigers are led by talented running back Markell White The Tigers have been dominant on both offense and defense against Class 2 foes this season.

Blair Oaks(9-2) at South Callaway (10-1)
why: Rematch, after years of dominance South Callaway enters with a 2-game winning streak after besting the Falcons in district play 45-19. South Callaway QB Konrad Kemper will again be the key as the Falcon defense keys he and Ben Seitz his favorite target.

Macon (10-1) at Monroe City (7-4)
why: Excited at the prospect of not seeing Centralia in their path the Tigers will not overlook Monroe City. Monroe must come off the high experienced following their huge upset victory and find a way to defeat a time that pounded them 30-0 in week 2.

Higginsville (10-1) at Butler (10-1)
why: A solid matchup of 10-1 teams. Should be a great battle until the end. Senior QB/LB DeShaun Thirkield will be the focus of the Butler defense. Give the Huskers the slight edge.

Hamilton (11-0) at Lawson (9-2)
why: Hamilton enters with a 40 game winning streak, and a pair of consecutive Show-Me Bowl titles. The Hornets overcame an injury to top running back Derrick Hughes in their 13-12 sectional victory. Lawson will present new challenges.
