Class 2 Favorites

Class 2 is SWMO seems to be really good with Greenwood, Hartville, Skyline, and Crane. What other teams from areas of the state seem to be having a great year?

New Franklin in central Missouri is undefeated I believe, but I think the next best schools will be found in Oran and then the KCI CONFERENCE in northwest mo. Milan has some studs too, but time will tell.

KCI is hit and miss. Mid Buch is good but not great. East Buch should come out of NW MO but they have been up and down as well. With Kilgore 100% they are the favorites, without they are not. The next team in the KCI that’s good is Lathrop but they are C3. East Atchison is solid and could make noise in C2 D15 or 16 can’t remember which.

I have watched all but Crane play in SWMO live, with having watched Crane in film. As for best overall team, I think it is probably Hartville followed closely by Skyline. Greenwood by far as the best player with good enough players to make them dangerous for most small schools.

I would like to say East atchison will make some noise in the playoffs but they just don’t have all the tools this year that they had last year. They are still a good team will probably still win 85% of their games but it’s just really hard to tell at this point.

Their girls team on the other hand can run the whole show in Class 2 more than likely if they can stay healthy.


So does anyone know if the Naboya kid for Greenwood is going to be playing in the Tournament of Champions or not? I’d heard that he would be playing in 2nd semester but he wasn’t mentioned at all in any of the Tournament of Champions previews that I’ve read.

East Atchison is in D16 (same as East Buch and Mid Buch)

East Buch has been up and down, but mostly due to Kilgore's injury. However, they are beatable. Mid-Buch and Plattsburg are capable of beating them.

Milan is very good, but they did lose to Plattsburg. But they have blown out everyone else. They have run into Van-Far the past two years. I think they will make it to state this year.

Oran gets a road test tonight vs St. Vincent in a matchup that could determine the #1 seed in their district down the road

Oran decided to not play due to weather even though SE Missouri isn’t effected. Game likely won’t be rescheduled if history holds up.
