I am sure that not everyone will agree. I think D8 will be Lathrop. Other than that, I don't have any disagreements. Although I wouldn't be surprised if D6 is Clark County or Palmyra.

I will admit, I know nothing about Lathrop besides they are highly ranked, I based the Macon pick in that district on quality of schedules, I believe Macon having played Moberly, Monroe City, Clark County, & Palmyra by seasons end will have them more battle tested in a close matchup. This is not a knock on Lathrop, but I see majority of their games are versus Class 1 teams

I've had Clark County in D6 from the start. Their health continues to be a concern, yet they are still pulling out games in the tough CCC. I'll stick with them.

Don't see Macon being able to pull out wins over Lawson and Lathrop both, but make no mistake they are a quality team and very potent offensively. For some reason I still think Lawson comes out of D8.

District 8 Lathrop. District 7 Higginsville. Higginsville is playing their best football of the season, and only lost by a touchdown at Summit Christian, in what was their worst performance of the year.

Anyone out there want to give some insight into D1 & D3
District 3 can be a toss up. The SCA is typically really tough, but I have heard that it is down this year. Solid teams, but I don't know if I would say that Ava is as battle tested as last year when the SCA was better.

Fair Grove and Strafford are still a toss-up because that was a 3 point game and a lot things can change a close game like that. I like Fair Grove in the district because of their size up front, the ability to run and throw, and just having great athletes on both sides of the ball.

I think Ava could definitely win D3, Strafford and FG are pretty good but historically the best Mid-Lakes teams don't compete with the SCA. Down year or not. I think Ava ends up playing Fair Grove in that districts final. If that's the case I'd put my money on Ava. I also think Houston could possibly give FG/Strafford some trouble.

In D8, when Lathrop played Lawson the first time they were clearly the better team no question, but I would be a little nervous about playing a team that is that good a second time. I don't know anything about Macon but would be very hesitant to say they are better than either Lathrop or Lawson.

D3 is a four way toss up between Ava, Mtn View Liberty, Fair Grove & Strafford. Houston could even sneak in.

As far as winning I think it is either Ava or a 3 way race. I think Ava has established they are the cream of the SCA. Are they better than Strafford and FG though. FG plays Buffalo who beat Ava so we might get insight there.

Welp, guess we have a new worst performance of the year after this week.

Monroe City has over 500 rushing & throttles Clark County.
Macon gets it done versus a talented Palmyra defense.
Looks like a tie at the top of the CCC.

If the standings hold (big if), while I know they will call it co-champs I'll still consider it a Macon year.

I don't think it's a "big if" on the standings holding. Yes, anything can happen in the MC/Palmyra rivalry, although it seems like Palmyra has some things going against them late in the season (QB1 is injured). If you consider it a "Macon" year then a loss to Centralia shouldn't be in the Cards (how clever!)

I can't argue with that. That game was painful to watch. Both shutouts against Higginsville have come on sloppy fields. It makes a slow backfield even that much worse. Lexington held onto the ball all night, but Higginsville must have fumbled a dozen times (not all turnovers).
