Co-ops from these smaller schools play havoc with classification. Will be interesting to see if any new ones are created or if any dissolve.

This past season it would have been Grandview, Thayer, Caruthersville, Sherwood.

This coming season I think Plattsburg is coming back, that's one of the 5 that would join Class 1 (SV leaving). The DESE Numbers from November are up if anyone wants to figure out the bottom 42 teams.

I remember Plattsburg stating they would be moving back to 11-man after a few years, and they do have an 11 man schedule for next season. I'm curious to see if any other schools are discussing dropping to 8 man.

I still thing class 1 should be set at 48 but not to exceed the 2.0 ratio.

I see they will add middle school this year. I assume it will be 2 years before they field a varsity team

Maybe so. I thought I saw varsity next year but you may be correct.

Saxony Lutheran starts varsity this year would assume they will be in Class 1. Doniphan will be back this year, that pushes someone down as well.
