That's a good run by a 14 seed. It looks like the seeds in that tournament might have been off just a tad.
Just watched the end of Lamar and Memphis Whitehaven. WH is up 98-25 with a minute to go. They put starters back in the game and start pressing in an attempt to get 100. Really just a classless effort. The referees knew what they were doing and actually called a few fouls on WH so the clock would run out and they would not get 100.

i would have had no problem if lamar would have called a time out and not answer the refs to bring your team back out if I would have saw that. Classless. Or i would have told the kids we see what they are trying to do and leave it up to them

Definitely think they've earned at least being in the conversation...their girls play HARD! I'm sure the notoriety is the last thing on their minds though, look to be focused on February/March
I would say that it was seeded when they were either 0-4 or 1-4 with their only win against the Springfield RUSH. It was a good run for them. Was there someone who was injured at the beginning of the season that they got back for the tournament or something? They ended up losing to Cuba in the last game of the tournament, but a good showing for the Lady Panthers.
Koshkonong was the #12 seed and played for 5th, so a good showing for them as well.

Congratulations to Ste. Genevieve Dragons 2OT win over Steelville at Park Hills Christmas Tournament.
Turns out a team that has won almost 75 games over the past three years is still good. Some of these first half state rankings are head scratchers. I don't know what they lost to graduation, but at the class 5 level and even class 4 to some degree those early rankings should rely heavily on the last season. Graduation usually doesn't cause as big of problems at bigger schools.
