Chiefs lock up the bye...

Only two AFC teams scare/scared me. I used scared because one is out, Pittsburgh. Regardless of their crappy secondary I did not want to face that aerial attack. The Chargers being the second one. Hoping for a Ravens win but just can't see it unless they get to Rivers consistently. I think San Diego is the most complete team with great leaders on both sides of the ball. Baltimore is dumbfounding, run run run full time wildcat, ugly. Indy doesn't have the players to beat us, Houston might be a test but cant muster enough Offense. New England just doesn't look the same as years past..Crazy Belichek could have another 2-3 rings if they just put a couple talented bigger receivers on that roster. I think it's going to be KC vs Chicago in the Super Bowl. Trubisky can throw the ball they have a great running game and a solid D. Saints secondary is as bad as ours..

I don't think San Diego will make it out of Baltimore.

Chiefs should win but dont know if you can discount Baltimore.. They easily could have won the regular season game.. And Indy is playing really well right now. That defense is solid. Chiefs are going to have to play.

Going to be tough beating the Saints at home, though.

The number one seed doesn’t always win. That being said the Chiefs are the best AFC team and if they play their game they should win. Don’t forget every team plays the season with the goal of getting the one seed so all their games are at home. The defense is much better at home. One 5 minute hiccup against the Chargers doesn’t change the fact that they dominated LA for 115 minutes. In Reid and Mahomes I trust

And the only team that has really beaten the Chiefs not with last minute heroics was the Seahawks...and that was without Sammy Watkins and Ware.

Damn Colts look awful good! They have a good D but won't stop our Offense. Hopefully we get a couple early stops on Defense and Reid keeps his foot on the throttle. A two score lead isn't enough as we have and Andy have learned through many heartaches..

With Spencer Ware and Sammy Watkins back, they score 42+ on the Colts.

Ware doesn't give us anything more than Williams has in my opinion. Williams I think is still hungry to keep a job. As far as Watkins, yay, another crappy wasteful signing.. Am not a fan nor was I when we signed him. Another injury bench rider(expensive). If he plays I'll give him a catch and maybe 3 quarters before he pulls a hammy or something. Hell I hope he does well just have zero faith in him. Key here will be Kelci and somebody being able to cover Hilton and stop Mack..

Sammy Watkins played 10 games: He had 17% of the Chiefs receptions (40) and 16% of the team's total yards (519 yards). Ummm, yeah, he makes a major impact, because its someone else to cover. Ware on the other hand, maybe not so important. 5 yards a carry...its plug and play. But at least if there is an injury, they have some wiggle room.

Mahomes grades out as the best QB in the NFL vs zone coverage. Colts play majority zone coverage. I believe they play the most zone coverage in the league. In addition, Luck is significantly worse playing outside. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a 2-3 TD win by the CHIEFS!!!!

Andrew Luck's QB rating on the road is 88 versus 109 at home. Now throw in natural grass, cold, possible snow.

What is the QB rating of opposing QB's in Arrowhead this season?

92.7 average for the year. Their secondary is atrocious, but the pass rush does cause some problems for opposing QB's especially at arrowhead. Should be a fun game to watch.

Yeah, at arrowhead. I was just making the point that yes, their secondary is garbage, but due to the pass rush, their opponents qb rating for the entire year is 92.7 which is like 14th in the league. Add that to the noise of arrowhead and it is even better.

Ware being back is a huge thing on 3rd down. Williams will remain the every down back, but Ware being the 3rd down/passing situation back is a big deal. He knows all the protections and is like having another OL on the field.

Again...Watkins when he is in, gets about 17% of the receptions and 16% of the total passing yards.

Oh no, wasn't disagreeing with that. Having Watkins back and healthy (big key) is a huge difference. I was giving you that. I just think most folks don't realize how good Ware is on 3rd down in protection and receiving out of the backfield. If the Colts stay in their Cover/Tampa 2 look, I'd imagine Kelce/Watkins/Ware are the keys. They'll have to get a huge chunk of the yardage underneath. Truthfully, more worried about the D stopping Luck and that offense. I'd also ship the over on that 57 line...with snow and weather being the spoiler.

I just wonder if Watkins can make it through a game.

The home team would usually be the benefactor of extreme cold. Not sure that will be the case with NE coming in. They have a lot of experience in those kinds of games.
I guess i'd rather play the Pats in the cold at home as opposed to in the cold in NE.

WATKINS is needed. He can run by you or run over a DB. He had a great hit finishing a run early Saturday. That DB looked like Marcus Peters trying to tackle the rest of the game. New England is, well we all know what N E Patriots are. But, in 2018 they are 3-5 on the road. That should not garner too much confidence, BUT, 3-5 on the road is a little telling. More statistical data that indicates something: (I can tell you the officials still suck, they DO allow the home team that "iffy hold" (or call it on visitor) and the same with PI. This past weekend I felt the Saints and Patriots BOTH got away with a more physicality from the DB's than did the visitor. Please may that trend continue. This may or may not surprise you. My guess is that it is on officiating. The home team gets away with the "iffy" holding call, & the visitor does not, type of thing. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at home: 8 games, 8-0 with an average score of 33-17, 8 road games, 3-5, with an average score of 22-24....All I am saying is the Chiefs have a chance.

Pats fans having a cow because the deflate gate ref is doing the game Sunday. Sounds like good Ju Ju to me!

Not as much of a cow as they will have when they see 41 year old Brady getted knocked on his ass in 10 degree Arrowhead. Anyone remember Montana at Buffalo in the AFC Championship? Bruce Smith knocked him out of the game. Montana got up and said, "I'm gettin' too old for this sh*t!" Its Brady's turn.
