There has to be a way to not give as much benefit for a class 1playing a 1-8 class 3 team that won it's first game in 2342342342 years by beating a team that's lost 234209349023 in a row vs say a 5-5 class 3 team.

That's probably a super succinct way of stating my core issue with SOS and the formula. I guess most agree it's flawed. I think most of us also agree that, while flawed, it's the best we've had for football. I think both of those can be true, huh?

Couldn't agree more. That's kinda why I like the coaches voting for seeds. It's simpler and you still have to beat the teams in front of you to advance.

I'll just say I've seen some scummy stuff go down especially when two conferences are in the same district.

Oh for sure. I will say, since they started making you "post" your vote and not vote for your own team it has cleaned some of that stuff up. It's a simpler/possibly better thing for me. Certainly still flawed though.
