Should be a good game. The folks, in other threads, that said Trinity was a lock, have no clue. Now, they could very well win, but to discount the Wildcats, like that, is a mistake.
I think the bigger question is can Trinity handle the disciplined aggression of Cassville. The Wildcats are going to hit you in the mouth. They will be clean and will line up and do it again.

This will probably end up being the best and closest game of the weekend. Trinity doesnt have the same offense as the State Champ team from last year but their Defense is still big still fast and still dominate. Should be a good low scoring game if everything you claim is true.

TC has played ESTL and LN so they should be used to a more physical style of play. Add on to that the experience of almost losing to Southern Boone last year and TC should be prepared. Then again you never know with high school kids. They better be locked in or Cassville will blow them out.

First quarter will be Cassville as TC shock from getting off the bus in Cassville will not have worn off. See Maplewood at Lamar as a perfect example.

If it rains, or Cassville soaks the field, it’ll slow Trinity down. TC’s offense is a shell of what it usually has, but their defense is big and fast.

Players, coaches and fans of either team that are overconfident are going to get their feelings hurt.

Did some guy actually reference a game from 10+ years ago using teams NOT named Cassville or Trinity as an example for what he thinks is gonna happen this weekend?

Sorry, Trinity just won a state championship and they are the bigger physical more talented team. I promise you nothing about Cassville is scary when you've blew out Maryville and Cardinal Ritter lead by Jameson Williams now at Ohio State.

I love me some Maplewood Richmond Heights but they were a finesse team and not ready to match up with the physicality of SWMO teams. See Ladue, CBC, Trinity, and Lutheran North thats no longer a problem for the St Louis schools

I don't think Cassville will soak the field, they have one of the fastest football players I have seen in awhile down this way in SWMO, so I am sure they will not want to negate that speed.
I am sure TC will also be pretty fast, and I also look for them to be one of the bigger teams Cassville will face so far this year.
So this to me is a very interesting match up, I think being down here in SWMO is going to give Cassville a slight advantage. I am very much looking forward to watching this game.

I think what he's saying is the culture shock of Cassville will stun them for a while.

TC suffered injuries to their defensive ends due to some questionable chop blocks very late in last week's game. One was clearly a cheap shot. Environment shouldn't matter much because TC has traveled to Georgia, Ohio, and rural MO in the past so they should be used to playing in any road environment.

This is like the 5th reference to Maplewood I've seen this season. Such a nostalgia rush every time; thank you everyone for keeping their memory alive!

I predict it will be similar to the Trinity/Maryville game last year. Will be competitive for a half but then those 300+lb bodies on the line will wear down Cassville in 2nd half.

In my experience more often those +300 pound linemen are gasssd and tired of getting knocked on their butts by halftime and it’s game over

That wasn’t the case last year when Trinity ran through Maryville.

Trinity has been to SWMO before. Rebel flags, pickup trucks, cowbells, and funnel cakes won’t intimidate them.

Trinity’s track team won State last Spring, and the majority of their football players were on the team. I hope it’s a dry field because it’ll make for better/safer conditions for both squads. Which Cassville kid were you referring to, I’ve watched them this season and didn’t see anyone that I thought was blazing fast.

Check the box score down by 9 at the half. 16-7

How did it work out for CR in 2008?

Yes that is why I said Trinity is pretty fast too.
I try to make it a point not to name names, but if you have watched huddle you should have no problem picking him out,

this is the funniest post Ive ever seen lol

I literally have no clue what a Cardinal Ritter team from 11 years ago when the kids playing this weekend were 5-7 years old has to do with anything we’re talking about.

plus that wasnt even the best CR team, this year and last year was.

Harrisonville play in Cassville in 2003 and 2005 in the sectionals round of playoffs. I can't recall which year it was now but we had a guy from Arkansas sitting behind us. He was talking with my dad during the game. He was a very nice guy, but I swear you need subtitles to understand what he was saying.
It would stun any normal person.

It's been raining all day in Cassville, and supposed to rain all day tomorrow and Saturday morning calls for rain also...Cassville would NEVER soak the field, what an idiotic statement!!! Oh!! And the speed of lightening player from Cassville has a name....Bowen Preddy is his name! He has another amazing teammate who does an amazing job also, and his name is Zack Cannen..I could name drop all day because we have an amazing team...go ahead and call us hicks who have made it this far on a fluke, win or loose, we are geared up and ready to play!!! Y'all might not want to attend tho, us backwoods hillbillies are a wild cowbell ringing, American flag flying, before the game praying, loud n proud bunch of rabid Wildcats fans who bleed black and Gold!

And the Final score was 36 - 14. Which means Trinity scored more points in the 2nd half than they did in the 1st half. How does that support the claim that Trinity’s players were worn down or gassed because they were bigger?

You don’t seem to have had any problems naming or talking about LN, Trinity, or Ritter’s kids up until now, and I don’t understand your shyness about identifying a kid when the point is to compliment his speed .. but, whatever. There wasn’t anyone on Cassville’s team that stood out as an exceptionally fast player. There were a lot of kids that DID look very slow, so maybe a kid with average speed would look fast by comparison.

I just looked him up. Apparently, he’s the fastest kid on their team ... but that speaks to the lack of speed of his teammates as much as it does anything else. Cassville will benefit from a wet field, whether it’s because of rain or an errant sprinkler or two. Without it, Cassville won’t be close to matching up with Trinity’s speed.

Ring your cowbells, wave your flags, and kiss your cousins. Enjoy your home field advantage. The only things that matter will be on the field.

We don’t need your personal life. Leave your cousins be!

That was the point I was making Trinity's large bodies wore down Maryville in the 2nd half.

That's the thing most people dont understand. Trinity 300lb "fat boys" are actually athletic.

I've seen Preddy on hudl and I wouldn't call him "blazing fast." That's what I would call somebody like Mookie Cooper lol. In all seriousness I don't like it when St. Louis folks make of small rural towns for rinning cowbells and flying American flags. That leaves a bad taste.

I referenced Rebel flags, pickup trucks, cowbells, and funnel cakes. If you didn’t recognize the joke after I inserted funnel cakes, then that’s on you .My point was Cassvillians (sic) can blow fog horns or bang on trash cans. Trinity isn’t going to be shook being surrounded by a stadium full of black and yellow.

I was deadass about Rebel flags, though. I’ve yet to visit SWMO and NOT seen a Confederate flag on a pickup truck. Tell me what kind of taste is left when you see them on your way to Webb City.

You kissing your cousins is because you’re “backwards hillbillies” (your words, not mine). I doubt the reason that the town of Cassville is 99% white is because white folks are being discriminated upon. I’m a white man. Let’s not pretend you and I don’t know what’s said about brown skinned people when they’re not in the room.

Nice try tho.

We welcome you all, regardless of race creed or religious affiliation!! How dare you label us!! I guess the name calling distracts y'all from our FB team and the town that loves them and supports them and every citizen at CHS..won or loose, we are proud of them!
