I thought Carthage came out with confidence, ready to win this game. Which I was honestly a little surprised...I expected them to feel like their back was against the wall, especially after WC opened the game by scoring. Webb City looked about the same as against CJ in the first half and in the 3Q they barely even had the ball. I did think WC looked like they were starting to get some fire in the 4Q but it was too late at that point. Maybe they can build upon that going into next week. I think they have some good potential once they build confidence and experience.
Carthage looked pretty solid offensively, a nice improvement from last week. Their defense seemed to struggle at stopping the run, especially late in the game but did step up big on a few key plays. Two blocked PATs could be a concern as well.
I always enjoy this game. It's fun with two neighboring communities that both support their programs at a high level.
