Not really. It was a typical 20 point game after 3 quarters as Republic controlled the first three quarters slowly building its lead. Carthage hit a 3 to start the quarter and got a steal and a layup. They got another steal and easy layup to make it a 13 point game just a minute into the 4th quarter. They traded baskets for a while as Carthage got it to 10 points with 4 to go. Carthage had possession down 7 with 2 to play when J. Ray got fouled on a missed 3 converting all 3 attempts to make it 64-60 at that point. Republic then had a couple big possessions to go back up by 9 with under a minute before closing out the game.
