Carthage struggling to find a way to stop Renfro in the 1st half
Helps he's got 2 power 5s blocking for himHe cant be stopped, only contained.
Carthage coaches refuses to try other options other than what he's used to. run the ball and if that doesn't work run the ball some more.He cant be stopped, only contained.
I’d rather steer the discussion away from the fact that Joplin was better in every phase and at every position and instead discuss the flag planting thing.
Yes. I guess. Sorta. But not really. 4/5 play each other. Then Nixa plays winner and 2/3 play each other. So, effectively, 1-3 get a bye.Does Nixa get a bye week in district play. How does that work this year and what are your predictions?
The Joplin/Kickapoo game should be interesting.Yes. I guess. Sorta. But not really. 4/5 play each other. Then Nixa plays winner and 2/3 play each other. So, effectively, 1-3 get a bye.
Possibly. But I’m pretty sure it’s just semifinal fodder. I can’t see anyone competing with Nixa. Might take an all-star team of the four other teams in the district to do that. And I’m not sure Nixa is all that GREAT. They’re a good to very good C6 football team. The Joplin/Kickapoo game should be interesting.

Those are all fair points. Not sure Perry will allow Renfro to run wild. Stopping Joplins run game is a good bit simpler than stopping REPMOs. But your point is certainly valid. A healthy Renfro makes Joplin better on the ground and by default through the air as well (for the reason you stated). If Renfo goes off like he did vs Carthage Joplin has a good shot. The prior game was decided by some self admitted bad decisions by Jasper and im not sure Renfro even played a down. To add the less Gooch has to throw the better.
Maybe I’m late to the party, but isn’t that field Joplin’s? Maybe flag-planting practice for next year? Genius move though …🤔
Yeah it was their own field. I pointed it out jokingly because some people seem to get bent out of shape when the Joplin players do this.Maybe I’m late to the party, but isn’t that field Joplin’s? Genius move though …🤔
Maybe it was tainted by the fact that renfro scored basically every time he was handed the ball but Joplin looked like the team I expected them to be at the start of the season. They were so much better than Carthage at literally everything, running, passing, tackling, kicking, you name it. I have no idea how Webb city beat them. Injuries might have been a factor. I thought they looked better than nixa.Possibly. But I’m pretty sure it’s just semifinal fodder. I can’t see anyone competing with Nixa. Last week was, by far, the best game Gooch has had. If he can continue to play at that level, I think Joplin has a great shot against Nixa. But, they'll need to get by Kickapoo first. It's hard to tell how good Kickapoo is. I think the only good team they have played is Lebanon and they seem to be incredible this year.If Renfo goes off like he did vs Carthage Joplin has a good shot. I watched the Lebanon/Kickapoo game. Lebanon looks alot like Republic.Last week was, by far, the best game Gooch has had.
