Carte'are Gordon appears to be changing high schools for financial and religious reasons. Vianney coach Kevin Walsh has stated that he will help C. Gordon any way he can which means Vianney will sign off on " MSHSAA Form " Reason for Transfer ". C.Gordon should be eligible to play for Jay Blossom and the Webster Groves Statesmen @ the beginning of the 2017 school year. This is the right move for Carte'are who is only 15 years old.

Webster has one of the top guard in the Midwest in 6'3" Courtney Ramsey ( Sophomore ). With the enrollment of C.Gordon 6'8", 255 Lbs with skills and athletic ability. Webster will be in a position of strength and could be a front runner ( If he plays @ Webster ) for a class 5 state championship for 2017 and 2018. ( New information appears to be conflicting where Carte'are will play next year ).

Carte'are Gordon is ranked # 17 in his class of 2018. Carte'are and Courney Ramsey grow up together, attended Junior High school in the Webster Groves school district.

I would think moving for 'religious reasons' is what you say when you move TO a private school, not back to a public school.

Carte'are and his family attend the "Jehovah Witness Church. Vianney is a Catholic high school. The main reason for the transfer was financial. If you can't pay the tuition, you can't go there. I doubt if the MSHSAA will rule against this transfer and eligibility will be granted.

I don't think they will either. If you attend the Jehovah Witness church why do you go to a catholic HS to start with? Especially when your home district has a very good basketball tradition, I would say much stronger than Vianney. People do some strange things.

Catholic schools likes to win in sports but education is their number one goal. Catholic schools have their own rules and their students must pay tuition, attend class and make their grades other wise they will ask you to leave.

The high school basketball powers belongs to the privates schools in St. Louis this year. Vashon, Hazelwood Central and Webster are the top public schools in basketball and will have no problem competing with privates schools like Chaminade, CBC, SLUH and DeSmet. I believe St. Louis will have a public school ranked # 1 in both the large and small schools polls next year.

How do you know that either of your first two sentences are factual? Those seem like pretty big assumptions on your part if you don't know them to be fact. And unless you are a member of the Porter family, I doubt you can substantiate it.

Also, MSHSAA clearly states that if a move occurs, there is I think a 10 day waiting period and the player becomes eligible to play at the new school. What would keep him from playing this year?
