Carl Junction beats Webb City for district title

I don’t think it’s going to matter ...
Yes they lost, but it does matter to the CJ boys who haven't given up despite the really hard years of off-court problems and losing. Two years ago they won only 3 games. They've had a lot of bad loses, taken their lumps, and have been humbled, but never gave up! They continued to work hard! You don't realize the huge steps they've made. They can take great pride in being district champions. Just wish they could've gone farther for Will Bebee--a wonderful young man of integrity.

CJ up 1 with 1.6 left. Rogersville has to go full court. Refs call a foul on a long 3 after Rogersville catches the ball.

I will never understand calling that time out, but the coach knows more about basketball than I do.

Photos on snapchat questions the foul call. The coach knows more than me also, but I don't understand it either. Also--it was until almost end of season to make the changes it took for them to be successful.

Missing the free throw intentionally is the right play, just poor execution. Taking a timeout is a decision based on how you feel about your defense if you think the other team has a play they can run effectively. Probably would have been better if the officials hadn't called the foul on the rebound on Rogersville and the game had been decided in overtime.

The last part is true for sure.
