Bulldogs score in almost every way imaginable, except thru the air. Rushing touchdowns, fumble and interception returns for touchdowns, kickoff return for a touchdown, field goal, PAT kicks and two-point conversion.

Game was 14-14 at the half.

CJ was only up by 10 at some point in the 4th qrtr too, right?

If memory serves me correct, 31-21 after three but CJ had one of their big defensive returns a minute into the fourth. Pittsburg fumbled on maybe their first offensive play of the ensuing drive, and CJ marched it about 25 yards for another quick score. Add in a final int return for a last TD midway thru the fourth.

CJ had offensive scoring drives of 96 and 97 yards in the first, the second of which was all rushing yards over several minutes.

The returns for TDs were something like 90 on the kickoff (Michael Elbert), 70 on the fumble (Kitch Channel) and another 70 or so on the INT (Elbert).

Elbert, a starting safety, finished with over 200 total yards with his returns and at least a couple of catches surely totaling 40+ yards.

Anyone know how many rushing yards Weston had?

Minor corrections, thanks to Joplin Globe story. Was 38-21 after 3 quarters. Elbert's kickoff return TD was 97 yards. His INT return for a TD covered 74 yards. He had 3 catches for 60 yards, giving him 231 total yards for the night.

Rayquion Weston rushed for 221 yards and 3 TDs.

CJ scores the game's final 32 points following the 21-21 tie midway through the 3rd.

I'm not really knowledgeable about either Carl Junction or Pittsburg KS, so I don't know how Carl Junction and Camdenton would match up in a district title game. I know that Webb has a great program, but I don't believe they are the juggernaut that they were last year. I would welcome some informed, objective replies.

Webb City: Dangerous when they play together and hold on to the football. Oline struggles often. They have 4 capable running backs that all of unique combinations of power and speed. QB is a question mark for the Cards. They have a couple good receivers between Gaskill and Catterson. Defense is very good but has been hung out to dry by the offense quite a bit. Their corners have been exposed at times though. Gibson and Gaskill at the safety position make a lot of plays for the Cards. Dline is good at taking up space for their fast linebackers to make tackles.

Carl Junction: Inconsistent on offense but very explosive when hitting on all cylinders. Also boasts a strong defense. They are very fast and athletic across the board, have multiple receivers at or above 6' with track speed. Elbert is one of their better receivers, but he is not always in on O because he is their best defender and an enforcer in the secondary. Also Zeke Wall is a force on the inside of the dline. Their running back Weston is only a sophomore, not overwhelmingly fast, but a very powerful back.
