I was actually very impressed with Pittsburgs performance considering their 3rd string QB played the entire game. I just hope they get well by playoffs.
Pitt used probably 3 or 4 different QBs it seemed, and while there were a ton of plays that went for no gain or a loss, they hit on some big plays too including a 4th and 22 touchdown pass in the 4th.
CJ was missing a couple of starting O-Linemen but what surprised me was the decision to sub in the Bulldogs freshman QB midway thru the 3rd with a 30-7 lead. Coach Buckmaster was right to feel his team could get that 13+ point win that is important to district standings and I think he decided a blowout wasn't as important as getting out of there healthy and getting some other guys more experience. But the Dragons kept fighting to the end and have a very nice team.

Isn't Kennedy their starting QB? When I was listening to it, Kennedy was in the game until Pitt kicked the field goal with like 3 minutes left then Baker finally came in. Not saying Baker wasn't in earlier but Kennedy was in in the 4th quarter..
1. Yeah Baker was in for 1 series of plays after we drove to the Pitt 20. The drive stalled. I am not sure what that was about.
2. The 17 points scored by Pitt was much more from special teams let downs than the CJ defense.
Alex Baker, freshman QB, came in with 5:46 left in the third and played most of the remaining series except for when Pitt pulled back to 30-14 and then CJ put Kennedy back in to get CJ the bigger lead again. Buck and staff begin subbing on both O and D much, much earlier than I've seen in years in terms of both time remaining (a qtr and a half) and lead.
