CJ pretty much dominated the 1st half but were only up 6 at halftime. Bolivar had negative rushing yards in the 1st half but had a kick off return for a TD and scored off of a CJ turnover. The 2nd half was more even but CJ made 1 more play.

CJ’s 3 losses are against teams that are a combined 22-2. Granted CJ never had a chance against any of them.

But 5-3 at this point is okay. Next week at CJ at West Plains will be a game that determines which team should end up having to travel 3 hours to play at the other’s home field for a district championship. Maybe….

Of course, Bolivar has a say in it all too.

The 1 seed is important in this district. The 1 seed gets a bye and an easy semifinal game. There is a big drop-off between 3 and 4.

If WP beats CJ next week there is going to be a mess at the top of this district. WP will have beat CJ and lost to Bolivar. Bolivar will have beat WP but lost to CJ and CJ will have beat Bolivar but lost to WP.

The tie breaker starts at the top so a WP win would give them the 1. If CJ wins WP would fall to 3. I am not sure WP can be the 2

But if WP wins and the points works out where 1. WP 2. Bolivar 3. CJ, wouldn't Bolivar jump WP because they beat them head to head?
