I think very few if any of the fumbles were because of contact. Majority were snap issues the rest were Oh My GOD Oh My GOD get rid of the ball issues with two very very inexperienced QBs. WEBB had what 17 lost fumbles or something crazy like that in the first three games. CJ must have hit them so hard the cobwebs took weeks to clear out, come on man.

So an offense turns it over that much, and the defense has no input in it happening? Inexperienced QB or not, that's still due in some part to the D. If for no other reason than they were there to recover the fumbles.

Hmmm. Go to Hudl and watch the CJ highlights. Webb fumbles 7 times in the highlights, 2 of those were immediate bobbles by the QB that he scoops back up (so these weren't among the 7 turnovers). 4 of the other 5 lost fumbles on the video come after contact from the CJ defense. CJ dback makes a great break on a pass for an interception. Although the highlights don't show all 7 turnovers, that doesn't leave many more that would've been only the offense's fault.

You forgot that they are talking about Webb. No team is good enough to beat Webb, except for Webb. Only Webb can beat themselves.

Not my point of view, but theirs. I saw a couple of bobbles that resulted in lost fumbles, but I saw several hard hits from a fired-up and talented CJ defense that caused several fumbles. Sometimes, even the best team can get outplayed in one game. Just ask NWMSU men's basketball team.

Webb fumbled it all season....except a couple of games. All the defenses we played weren't great and we fumbled. Our sophomore RB didn't have a fumble all season and took some hard hits so I would say less to do with hard hits and more to do with poor ball security. With that said, I do think CJ had one of the top defenses in class 4 last year.

I guess since there has to be someone to recover it. Inexperience and scared coming from inexperience was definately the biggest factor. After 4 weeks they cut down on the turnovers and started playing pretty good. Guessing everybody remembers their first experiences, the butterflies etc, now put yourself in a Qbs shoes with the expectations of WEBB, lotta pressure. Regardless to say it wasnt a down year for WEBB is foolish. First time CJ has beat WEBB in what 35 years, only the 2nd time cARTHAGE has beat them in 33 years and I believe first time Ozark has beaten them. First conference loss in 15 years and we had three. As far as WEBBs QB next year I suppose Sr.Link may keep his slot but personally wouldnt be suprised if he backed up Jr. Beason. Beason has good size and the small amount of gametime he got, he played well. WEBB played a lot of under classmen last season, I would expect much different results this coming year..
