Is the Dow really only 140 pts from its record high? With Trump ruining our standing in the world, putting on economy killing tariffs, and making so many horrible decisions, I just figured the recession the press keeps talking about would have had the market tanking by now.

The market is about strange as anything old this planet. Why it goes up or down is anybody's guess. It's had so many big swings I don't know how anybody could figure it out. I guess we should assume it will take a dive Monday morning after the attack on the Saudi oil infrastructure so I guess it will probably jump by a 1000 points.

China is in a tough spot, swine flue is forcing them to kill off millions of hogs and they are tapping into their frozen pork supply to feed their people. They are going to have to buy frozen pork and beef to keep from starving. As soon as the swine flue epidemic passes they will have to buy crapload of soybeans to build up their hog numbers

China is hurting and will be making a deal soon

China has an incentive to play a longer game than that.

There’s no question their economy is as weak as it has been in awhile, though.
