Well he wasn't bad today but the offense was awful against a guy they beat up early in the season. They did say he's been a different pitcher since he was sent down and came back.

Concerning the offense when Flaherty is pitching ... as per usual.

This Cardinal offense is a concern in every game. They just don't give us a chance to win very often. Yesterday was another example. From the first pitch they were doomed.

That pitcher hung a dozen breaking balls right down the middle, most of which we took, obviously looking for something else. His first time up Bader took 2 right down the pipe then swung at a ball 6 inches outside and low. We are not good enough offensively to play Bader.

I love Bader’s hustle, defense and enthusiasm ... but, I can’t help agreeing with you. He seems to have reverted back to his ways before the short return to Memphis.

Looks like he'll be out for game 3. Carp is in so Edman will move to RF and Fowler to CF.
