The California Lady Pintos won the season rubber match Saturday against the Boonville Lady Pirates, claiming the Class 3 District 13 championship with a 54-40 victory.
California won its season opener 59-50 at Boonville but dropped a 54-48 decision last month to the Lady Pirates in the California Tournament championship game.
The Lady Pintos led at the end of each quarter, holding a 21-15 advantage after one quarter, 38-25 at halftime and 46-32 through three quarters.
California knocked down six 3-pointers by six different players in the first quarter and finished 8-of-12 beyond the arc in the first half. The Lady Pintos shot 11-of-18 from deep for the game.
Gracie George led the Lady Pintos with 16 points and Elizabeth Lutz chipped in 13 points.
California, now 23-4, will play Barstow at 6pm on Wednesday at Harrisonville.
