C5 #1 Staley Drops 9 point lead in final.5 minutes.

C6 # 2 LSW 21 C5 #1 Staley 17

Blew the game. One big pass play . Triple coverage. Notre Dame signed baseball QB laced it in there .
West scored 21 points on one pass play?????? No wonder folks score so many points up north

14 points in final 4 minutes. The big pass play saved their ass on a third and long . Since you are obviously ignorant about what happened. Now you know . You are welcome . Now take your litte cookie and go to bed.

They were all three watching the receiver who was watching the BALL. It definitely turned an otherwise amazing Staley defensive performance. More on this one tomorrow.................

Are you from Bolivar? What happened tonight? Just curious because Center is quite a way down this year.

I was ready to get up and walk away from the game until Staley hit that pass. It really woke everybody up!

Staley defense is crazy good. When they went up two scores at 17-8 with less than 8 minutes left, i thought it was all but over. For whatever reason they backed off the rush some like they were suddenly afraid of getting burnt by. The proverbial prevent defense that prevents you from winning. At the same time the Titans started getting Sammy Cooper involved. It was a different game those last eight minutes. Even the West went ahead about a minute left, and Staley got into West territory before stalling on four downs.

It will be interesting to see if LSW suffers a Staley hangover next week against their in- district rival which has some weapons and have to be smarting after two straight losses. It never gets any easier in that class 6 meat grinder in K.C. Then they all have to turn around and play each other again in district play. Not a fan of the system but have no direct interest so it is what it is.

They had a big let down . shoulda kept throttling LSW .

These are great games to schedule in the regular season. Staley, in my mind, is maybe an even heavier favorite in Class 5 at least on this side of the State after this one. It is kinda ironic they lost utilizing the D that helped them win it all last November at the Zou vs. Pattonville.

And up next in Week 8 is a visit to Park Hill, a team I suggest nobody in C6 forgets about. First team to score could be your winner in that one!

That was the best HSFB game I've been to in years. Still trying to soak it all in. Suffice to say both are very deep, talented squads who put on quite a show last night! And kudos to the crowd both sides: packed, fun atmosphere!

Mark this one down on your calendars: Staley at Park Hill Week 8. The Trojans are coming from off the pace............those can be the most dangerous teams of all.
