But.....but....but....

The missed a facemask penalty on Josh Allen on 4th down that would've been huge just for the 15 yards.

The ball did hit the ground......and....it was a first down. It so hard when they are so obvious the announcers are questioning the calls. Lol.
It would help a lot if you boys understood the rules of Professional football.

In the NFL if the player has control of the ball, the fact that the ball touches the ground does not make it an incomplete pass

"A catch is made when a player inbounds secures possession of a pass, kick, or fumble that is in flight. An interception is made when an opponent who is inbounds catches a forward or backward pass or a fumble that has not touched the ground.

Notes:
  1. It is a catch, or an interception, if, in the process of attempting to possess the ball, a player secures control of the ball prior to it touching the ground, and that control is maintained during and after the ball has touched the ground."

This one i agree with the ball didn't move and mutual possession goes to offense.

The facts always matter.

Read beyond the plain text. The ball must not move while contacting the ground. Ball moving results in a ground assisted catch and therefor...incomplete. typacal kc fan reply.

So are you saying it moved when it hit the ground? Perhaps you saw something definitive that none of the officials saw on replay over and over again.

Just to be clear did you see the ball moving when contact with the ground was made?
I sure did, and so did a lot of credible news outlets (but we’ll just use SI as an example, who said “the ball hit the ground before Worthy seemed to establish possession”)

Chiefs fans need to acknowledge their natural bias, and also acknowledge that just because the refs decided after review that it was complete doesn’t mean it can’t still be a bad call; refs make bad calls all the time, even with review, and this was one of them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Football fans in general need to acknowledge that out of the 100 plus plays in a football game 1 play doesn't decide a game. The non chiefs fans also need to acknowledge the 2 peat 16 -2 sb champs winning the annual Arowhead Invitational is definitely a possibility. Now 17-2

go home homer

I'll definitely be home watching the annual Chiefs Superbowl Invitational.
Call it whatever you want it's a great story line that's very lucrative for the league. Back in my day the common man knew when they were being fooled. I guess common sense isn't so common anymore.

Definitely lucrative as a biz. The bills almost spoiled it with the 2 failed 2 point conversions. Otherwise, some would say they win 33-32 and it's a bills eagles SB.

We however have a chiefs eagles again.
If teams don't change from Sunday I'd say Eagles by 14+, however my brain tells me Eagles peaked Sunday and will come back down to a more normal level of play and this is another close game with Chiefs winning another close one with more controversial calls because the NFL is just laughing at the fact they now have us talking about their brand 24/7

I really hope you are trying to get people fired up, you surely cant be serious....

It's both. He truly wants to believe it (though he knows it's ludicrous), and he wants to feel like he's getting someone's goat. He would be a way more effective troll if he had something more substantial than "80% of people's opinion" this and "90% of people's opinion" that off the top of his head. That and if he had at least a tiny bit of working knowledge of statistics, correlation, credibility/reliability, et cetera, ad nauseam, he could manipulate the data to support his points but seem credible. Our friend Joey has that, at least.

I think the biggest thing is that people forget how impossible it is to referee a football game at the NFL level. The game is INSANELY fast. Put that together with the fact that there are only 5 (maybe 6 and don't feel like looking it up) refs on the field to watch 22 different players. Even if you assume they are all in pairs, which they aren't, you are still looking at 11 different player interactions and you are expected to see all of it? Get out of here with that nonsense. Anytime there is a bad call, for or against the team I happen to be rooting for, I am like "well, that sucks, but it's football".

Has anyone considered that the NFL is doing this on PURPOSE?? Bad calls are just apart of the game and gets people talking. Look at us right now! No such thing as bad press, right!?

Incredibly unlikely. They ended up with the super bowl that will probably end up with the least amount of viewers of all of the possibilities. That's the other thing people aren't thinking about evidently. If they were doing this stuff on purpose, they would not be helping the Chiefs at this point. Maybe with the way things have worked out now, they would rather the chiefs win this week for history's sake. But, up until this point, it would make much more financial and popularity sense to favor another team. That's why it is so obnoxious to listen to. All you have to do is think deeper than surface level and you realize it doesn't even make sense.

All a rational person has to do is think about it for a few seconds: two people can't even keep a secret. How can a person actually think that the many people who would necessarily know about this could keep it a secret?

I sleep well either way. The refs didnt do a really good job either way. But yes.....i couldnt imagine reffing an nfl game at that speed.
The fact that they catch as much and make as few mistakes as they do is actually incredible. But instead of realizing how good they are at their jobs, people berate them for any little mistake they make. They are the best of the best as well. There's a reason they are in the NFL. Just like the players are the best of the best, so are they.

The losing fans and haters berate them. They can't understand how a superbowl can actually win a game. Same mindset as election deniers. Just ignorance and overt loathing.

No, no, no! I am NOT talking about the NFL doing this to HELP certain teams! I am talking about bad calls being apart of the game and the NFL not doing anything to help officiating.

Perhaps the NFL is doing this on PURPOSE! Not bring in more refs, more cameras, lasers for measuring, chips in the ball, etc. Because it gets people talking about the game. NICE TRY and BE BETTER! Hehe

Well there are 7 and that means that their is almost 1 per interaction on the field. While I know it's not always 1 on 1 however there are enough there to catch the majority, and they don't. I also love the other argument of if they called it to the rules there would be 24 hour games. Umm no the players would actually learn how to play to the rules and not to what we have let it become.

While a tough job it may be they are handsomely rewarded and should be expected to handsomely perform.

Now pay up the top hat bet you welcher bosco

Bills went 5-5 on fumble recoveries. Never happened in an NFL game...ever. 32-29
