If Trump can raid 15 billion or so from the Pentagon for the border wall, what’s to stop the next Dem president from raiding defense dollars to pay for climate change, which our defense dept has designated as a threat to national security?

There is way too much power with the executive branch right now. This really went too far after 9-11.

Yeah unprecedented. Next thing you know a president might order internment camps like FDR did in the 40’s. I guess that wasn’t too much power?

There has been too much power in n the executive branch for a while though much of that power is in the bureaucracy (swamp).

What FDR did was a huge blunder and really injured his legacy. Those people were mistreated. On the other hand a lot of them would have been lynched by angry Americans if they had remained home. Terrible situation.
I know my dad was not fond of the “japs” for many, many years after he returned from WW II.

Every president has overstepped at one time or another, just not as much. Maybe we should spend a day criticizing FDR, but we're not, you can though. Making sure the Border is secure is a vital part of the Military's mandate. Do I like that Trump has to use XO to get it done? Nope, but he is just taking a play out of Obama play book..you may recall I got a pen and a phone statement by Obama and then he Signed away on issue from climate change to Gun control. It's not out of the ordinary all presidents sign XO. At least Trumps action has a legit purpose that is practical.
